We have been with NCl and Royal Carribean before. This itinerary worked for us and just trying something new. So Disappointing. The positives first.
Embarkation was easy and well organised.
Cabin L224 inside was fine.
Staff were very nice.
Nightly entertainment was good .
Plenty of outside space and sunbeds.
Food was seriously poor. The mdr was terrible and the 4 times we were at ...
This was the second time that we’d cruised on this ship. Standards have certainly dropped. Firstly the good points. Embarkation at Southampton was excellent and totally stress free. The cabin was ready as soon as we walked onboard and our room was very good. The ship has recently been upgraded and is very nice. Our cabin attendant was also very good throughout our holiday. Entertainment was also ...
We were sailing on the Ventura in the Canary islands and we have really enjoy it.This year, a group of friends and I decided to visit the Canary Islands with this cruise company. I had never traveled to this company. The ship had everything that you needed. Unfortunatly the trips they offered we found to be expensive. We came across a company by accident called Lanzarote experience tours, on ...
this was our 9th. cruise cruise having tried fred olson and r.c.i. we felt r.c.i. where getting to be to pushy so thought we would give P&O a go .our embarkation was good and we found our cabin to be 1st class on deck d extra large balconey very nice
The ship was just the right size no problems getting about we booked 1830hrs meals in M.D.R. all very nice allways good choice and ...
Seemed like a good idea at the time, first day we were greeted by a pedal bin in the toilet full of tissues and a used tampon smiling at us, reported it and all we got was a grunted apology whereas friends of ours got a fifty pound extra spend because some noise was heard early one morning.Although not P&O,s fault the ship was overun with wheelchairs, zimmer frames and mobility scooters.Technical ...
First p&O cruise , we have always gone with tui (Thomson) before but wanted to see what it was like going from Southampton, we got there earlier than are allocated time and must say went through the embarkation procedure very smoothly, I had read previous reviews about the ship some good some bad , although some areas looked a bit tired overall the ship was fine, the cabin was no better than what ...
Happy 12-day cruise but just sometimes food quality was surprisingly poor. Potatoes with black rotting areas and occasionally not hot. Staff in smart restaurants and buffet were hard-working, helpful and pleasant.
Often a feeding frenzy in buffet servery which is too crowded sometimes and too small. One area is opened while the other closes. Ideally should both be open. All made worse ...
P+O have certainly dropped their standards no doubt in search of greater profits that come at the expense of their passengers.
We have been on several P+O cruises before and was always reasonably satisfied but this one was bad from start to finish.
We missed three ports out of the seven scheduled stops and had only half a day instead of a full day in Zante, I appreciate that the weather ...
It had been a long held dream to sail to Santorini ................
Unfortunately we did not get to see Santorini or Mykonos on this cruise (the whole reason why we booked the cruise) and of course no one can argue with the forces of nature that were blowing through the Greek Islands at that time - but there was no comparable alternative offered. Just an extra day at sea (in the safe knowledge ...
Always use Penguin Parking, their service is outstanding. From our luggage being taken at the quay, we were on the ship in 10 minutes, and enjoying coffee and cake in the Waterside buffet. This was our fourth Ventura cruise and our 7th P&O ( Oceana & Britannia previously.
Chose an inside cabin forward, on deck 12 (A) very quiet, new carpets and throughout the ship too on it's re-fit last ...
