Last minute bargain and thoroughly enjoyed.
Food in buffet was pretty good although sometimes lukewarm but guess this is to be expected when such large quantities are being served. Meals in Baytree restaurant were really nice and service was prompt and friendly.
Entertainment onboard was excellent.

We were a family of five travelling in three balcony cabins, R303 - accessible cabin, A254 and A251.
Embarkation was a farce, chaotic and not helped by rude and unhelpful G4S staff. Didn't see the point of being given an embarkation time as this was totally ignored and we were waved disdainfully towards the queue. As a first timer any questions we asked were ignored.

Just arrived back from our first P&O cruise. Sailed on Ventura 23 November. Overall we felt we received good value for money having booked fairly late and received a good price with generous onboard credit.
Embarkation efficiency was excellent and even though we were early we were on board within 20 minutes of arriving at the port. Disembarkation was equally efficient.

I went with my husband, elderly mother and father (80) and brother. We had balcony rooms on R deck. This is the second cruise for my husband and I and we used Princess last time so had something to compare with. We went on Ventura for our yearly cruise with 4 children under 11. We arrived at Southampton around 10 am. . It was a smooth embarkation with at least a 2 hr wait.
