1-10 of 137 P&O Ventura Cruise Reviews for Family Cruises from Southampton
This was a 5 week cruise, having only undertaken a few shorter cruises before, unlike many well seasoned cruisers on board, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality, standard and presentation of everything.
In a nut shell: on reading reviews (after we had paid a deposit) I started to get concerned! Fortunately a very level headed well travelled friend reassured me that the Ventura was ...
Where do I begin? The cruise was absolutely fantastic. Whoever faults this cruise needs there heads checking. The ship itself is beautiful, In fabulous condition. The rooms were cleaned every day and night. Our room cleaner even left little chocolates on our pillows which went down very well with our children! There was jam packed entertainment on throughout the day! The theatre shows were like ...
We wanted to go on this particular cruise as we have heard nothing but great reviews about the Fjords and we have sailed on the Ventura before.
We drove down to Southampton from North Wales and this was probably the best trip down we have had. There weren't any hold ups and after reading on CC that parking and portering had changed, we were pleasantly surprised that it was exactly how it was ...
We chose this due price and itinerary as we got a deal. We were very reticent about booking on P&O again after a previous trip on Britannia which was awful and we did not like the ship at all, other than the cabin. So, we were not really expecting much of this trip but it was an itinerary we had not done, at a good price which we booked very late.
Well, on this occasion P&O delivered on all ...
OK, I admit, we didn't have very high expectations of the cruise but it turned out to be an amazing holiday.
That's mainly because the Norwegian fjords are breathtaking.
Some pictures attached to show you that a huge ship like Ventura is dwarfed by the amazing scenery.
In wow order :
Olden - mindblowingly pretty, we just wandered around the town for a few hours rather than doing an ...
I'd never fancied a cruise - this was a friend's choice for a "girly weekend away" for us 2 older ladies. I expected to hate every minute - but actually really enjoyed it.
Our cabin was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. The whole experience was so good that we have booked another cruise for the Autumn.
I simply don't understand the poor reviews given by some people ...
Wanted to cruise and wanted to see Norway, what a super experience for my first Cruise.
Ventura is a well appointed, spotlessly clean. Staff lovely, nothing too much trouble.
Food in Bay Tree Restaurant exceptional, waiters lovely, service excellent. Plenty of choice, can honestly say enjoyed everything I ate.
Buffet good for breakfast and lunch, great choices, tea and coffee always ...
This was my second cruise.I did a Meditteranean cruise on Venturatoassess whether it was good for my elderly father. It was and so we booked a 28 day Caribbean cruise from Southampton and back.
My son dropped us off but no porters appeared to help with baggage but I quickly got around that. We had ordered special assistance for my dad and it was excellent, we were taken immediately to our cabin ...
We thought it was very good value for a 28 night cruise. We had an inside cabin, it was perfectly ok. Very powerful shower, plenty of clothes storage and very comfortable queen size bed. Our cabin steward Jofran was a really nice guy, worked hard and made our cabin up at least twice a day.
The staff in all the restuarants were excellent very friendly and always smiling !
We enjoyed the ...
Having cruised before on smaller ships, we thought we would try one of the 'biggies' and as we wanted a Christmas and New Year cruise to somewhere warm, we chose P & O's Ventura cruise to The Canaries and Madeira. The weather couldn't have been kinder with just a bit or rain in Madeira (didn't spoil the wonderful New Year fireworks display though). Both ways across the Bay of Biscay were ...
