Quick and speedy embarkation. We were wondering what the holiday would be like after reading previous reviews but we were impressed with the organisation, food, ship......maybe the service in the restaurants could have been a bit sharper and the overall cleanliness of the public areas could have had a bit more attention. However, our cabin and cabin housekeeper were first class. The ...

Two weeks on the transatlantic, repositioning, cruise gave us 8 beautifully restful sea days with very calm seas throughout. P&O run an extraordinarily smooth operation in every department whether it is embarkation, entertainment or restaurants. Without exception, all of the stewards, waiters, reception, croupiers et al were efficient, friendly and often went out of their way to go the extra mile. ...

After 15 years of cruising with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruises ... the choice came up including Britannia for a transatlantic cruise to celebrate two 70th birthdays......assuming that the reputation of P&O was alive and well .. we decided to book with them ... even the cruise agent suggested that the standard passenger on P&O was more discerning and service minded... so we booked. From ...

This was the maiden transatlantic voyage of the new Britannia, a new ship and only our second ever cruise. we had been really looking forward to it and in many ways we were not at all disappointed. 1 The ship is large, clean and bright, the facilities are extensive and many of the features and facilities are great. 2 We really enjoyed the food ( where we always dined in the restaurant in ...

Lovely ship - quite understated decor. Voyage great - one sea day over the Bay of Biscay a little rolling felt a little sea sick but soon overcame it. Food very good - Buffet excellent, Dinner - did not offer cheese and biscuits always had to ask - unlike previous cruises on P&O whereby always offered. The service was a little rushed. Cabin fantastic. Top deck. Balcony Grab and ...

My first time on P&O and most definitely my last. Having cruised many times on Royal Caribbean and also Princess Cruises my wife and I decided to give P&O a go as they had just launched the new Britannia. I can honestly say that was a big mistake. The ship is not in keeping with a new flagship that's for sure. Our first impression was it all looked rather dull to be honest the Atrium was ...

We have just returned from 14 days on the Britannia, sailing from Southampton across the Atlantic to the Caribbean before flying back from Barbados. First impressions on entering the ship was not good, the atrium was like sitting in a shopping centre, no sweeping staircases no glass lifts just dull browns and creams sofas and chairs. No background music no piano or dance floor for impromptu ...

Having read quite a few negative reviews and comments about Britannia in her first few months of operation, we set off on our journey to Southampton with open minds, determined to try her for ourselves and to have a great cruise. We were not disappointed! There is a lot that P&O have got right with Britannia. First, let's get the little "niggles" out of the way. In our stateroom, grade HF ...

WE set sail in rainy conditions but the weather soon picked up as we were on our way to Tenerife, an Itinerary change that occurred just before we were to go. However i enjoyed the Mt Teide cable car trip even though we had to queue for nearly 3 hrs before we finally made the ascent! After that it was sun all the way to St Maarten. Obviously as the sun got hotter the sunbeds became fewer which was ...
