The greatest disappointment was the food which was universally poor and sometimes inedible. Even the specialist (££) restaurants did not have the highest standards.
We had splashed out on a suite and expected a bit of pampering but other than priority boarding and a couple of cabin gifts we got nothing (£20 for drinks with the Officers? £20pp per day to use the private Retreat deck? £30pp for ...
If you want disgusting food, then this is your ship! The buffet food was shocking. The speciality restaurants only slighty better , even with the extra costs and if you could get a booking.
Entertainment was pretty.ok.
Balcony room was fine and cleaned every day.
I wouldnt go on this ship again.
Scenery in Norway stunning.
Staff helpful and generally friendly.
People who have ...
We chose this ship because the itinerary to Scandinavia sounded interesting and not an area we had been to before.
On arrival in Southampton there were horrendous queues outside the terminal and we took 2 hours to board the ship. This was not P & O's fault as there had been an accident in Southampton but why were we not allowed into the terminal so at least we had somewhere to sit. We have ...
This is my 6th cruise and everyone has been great...except this one... Britannia Fjords
Good Points
-entertainment very good standard for a cruise ship
- ship decor nice and modern
-drinks very reasonable
-checkin/checkout excellent
-Fjords-- beautiful even with bad weather

-balcony cabin fine... however ...
Just arrived home from a week in the Ffiords what a waste of money.Embarkation was excellent very fast and we were on the ship. Our balcony cabin room A715 was small but cosy spotlessly clean and excellent service from Stevely our cabin steward. The decks on the ship were nice with plenty of loungers. The only swimming pool was open deck and only 2 jacuzzis which you could never get in not enough for ...
We chose this cruise as we wanted to go to the Norwegian Fjords on a seven night cruise as this seemed to fully fulfill our requirements. We have had wonderful experiences on cruises with Princess, Cunard, RCI and NCL and we expected a similar experience with P&O but boy were we disappointed. This was very much a down market experience.
First the good bit the cabin and its servicing was ...
Our Honeymoon cruise ended up being a massive let down, "saved" only by the beauty of Norway.
We were advised that P&O is good and upmarket- by both the travel agent and relatives who have sailed with them many times. We cannot disagree more!
Where to start?
From the moment we arrived on board we were not impressed. The entrance was at the bar/pub- meaning that with streams of people ...
I sailed with my Mum a few years ago on the Oceana and had a terrific, two-week Med cruise. The food was fantastic and we spent a fortune in the shops. There were a few things to do on sail days and I went to some very interesting talks.
Embarkation was worse this time - huge groups of us herded like cattle, when last time we had a friendly welcome and practically strolled on board. The ...
Went with family. Third time with P and O and each one worst than last. With the Britannia being a relatively new ship, I was expecting great things, and was very disappointed. The ships design is totally wrong. There are nowhere near enough lifts, and it takes forever to get one. When you eventually get one you are packed in like sardines. People are so rude that even though they see you have ...
Was looking forward to this cruise on Britannia as it is the P&O flag ship of the fleet. However, we found that the level of service much to be desired from the start when we got on the ship. One of our party is in a wheelchair and Instead of escorted to our cabin, we were told that ours was on deck 12 and off we went on our own to find it, on a ship that we hadn't been on before.
Although we ...
