This was our second cruise on Britannia, chosen because we were disappointed with cruise on Ventura in 2017. We had a terrible journey via Intercruise from Durham to Southampton. Despite efforts of Hays Travel and ourselves to make P & O and Intercruise understand that because of my disability I am placed under extreme pain having to climb any more than 2 steps and, in fact descending stairs is ...
We booked this Mediterranean cruise for my 50th. We had the time of our life's .We had freedom dining and ate every night in the meridian. The waiters and hosts were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious from starters to desserts. The bars and entertainment we enjoyed and they shown films too. We played bingo and on the roulette table and had a very good time doing so.The pool and ...
This was our second p&o cruise having previously been on the excellent Venturer. Everything about Britannia is 5 star. Embarkation went very smoothly and we were soon in the Crows nest enjoying our first cocktail. This is a wonderful place to watch a sunset . We found the food to be mainly excellent . Choosing to eat freedom dining was a definite plus and gave us flexibility. We also tried the ...
Britania 29th July 2018 - We have cruised many times with many different cruise lines. I must say we were more than happy with Britannia, it was a busy time of year, being during school holidays the ship was full! And around the swimming pools very busy, Although I always say you can do as little or as much on board, we found the cabins to be lovely, very modern and great facilities! We were in ...
We thought being a P & O cruise on the Britannia and paying £5500 we would enjoy the best of service and the top food, after all Marco White is shouting out about his food on the ship.
We stayed overnight at the Hilton close by, saved racing sown on a Sunday morning, it was worth it.
Getting on the ship was great, parking with a sort of meet and greet, take your luggage out, the car is taken ...
My partner and I (72 and late 60s) went by coach with Intercruises to Southampton on 29th April, 2018, to board P&O Britannia for 12 days cruising to Portugal, Spain and Ibiza.
We were quickly transferred from the coach to the embarcation lounge, but my partner discovered she had left some important hand luggage on the coach which was by then on its way back to the M3. I explained our plight to ...
This was our third cruise on Britannia and we chose this itinerary as there were several ports which were new to us. We really like this ship - it has a pleasing, muted decor throughout, and despite its size, is relatively easy to find your way around.
I have to say that embarkation has improved a lot since our first time, but it's nowhere near the efficiency of Celebrity. Once on board, ...
just returned from our 12 nt cruise around the med. I always read the reviews and often wonder what a lot of moaners us Brits have become.
embarkation: once through security we found our cases already by our cabin. Good start
Cabin: Inside (as always) not a bad size. Plenty of storage space. One small picky thing, no hooks anywhere just to hang lets say your bag or coat when you enter cabin ...
The ship was large but the staff were friendly and helpful. The décor didn’t have the “Wow” factor some ships have but was easy on the eye but fairly bland. Our cabin was of a reasonable size and well-equipped with plenty of storage space. We ate at the Horizon buffet breakfast and lunch and found it fairly efficient for such a large help yourself restaurant. We dined in the Peninsular Freedom ...
Britannia is a lovely ship but lacks the Wow factor of similar sized ships such as Celebrity's Solstice class. We had a basic interior cabin on A deck, about which we were quite happy, as the design was fine, and our cabin steward was excellent. We had no problems at all with noise from above, as noted by another reviewer.
We dined mainly in the Peninsula Restaurant where the food was ...
