It met all my expectations
"The whole experience , from arriving at the terminal was excellent , yes you have to queue, to go through all the procedures, But don’t forget you have to Queue at any Airport , Once on board everything is beautiful, it has recently been refurbished, once your dining etc has been sorted you can get on with enjoying yourself , the MDR are have great menu choices , breakfast , lunch and dinner , The Specialist Restaurants are worth that cover charge and are a real treat , my favourite is the Sindu , cannot comet on the Horizon, as with having Coeliac I never risk them , The entertainment is great lots to see and enjoy and very varied, Bingo is fun and only something I do on a cruise , lots of day activities and sports , beautiful pools , and lots of towels available all day , so unless you are very fussy no need to pack towels , The cabins are convertible, and everywhere is spotless, The staff are very professional and kind , Our thanks go to our waiter Paul in the MDR Peninsular, he showed us kindness , and explained my choices of GF food , All in All we had a excellent trip , For anyone who has Coeliac , there are Allot of excellent choices , So just go and have a fabulous time aboard the Britannia..."Read More

We chose this cruise as the itinerary suited our needs. Prior to joining the cruise, I tried to contact customer support as my mother, who was joining us on our cruise, was given a boarding time of 3pm while we were boarding at 12:15. Our travel agent could not get the times changed and advised us to contact customer services. I e-mailed them and am still awaiting a reply. I also contacted the ...

Happy Cruise if you avoid the C-word and Rumours

Before we begin let me tell you about why Mrs RL and me cruise. We do it to switch off, get away from work, and tick off some new places. Work phones and laptops are left behind. We choose P&O as it's familiar and we know what to expect. We know there are better and much worse out there but it suits our needs. We can also become grey people and keep ourselves to ourselves on a large ship. We ...

Third P&O cruise and chosen for the stops in Spain and France. Food and service were impeccable. Port organisation was superb. Ports and weather were very enjoyable, particularly Valencia (Spain) and Toulon (France) Luxury Balcony cabin as ever was well organised and comfortable. What we missed was: 1. Presence of officer staff on black tie nights, making them a bit like damp ...

What a disappointing experience

We chose this cruise for the company - we thought P & O would be a fabulous experience, and the itinerary. The itinerary was great. Possibly one too many sea days and they could have squeezed in another port definitely. But overall the itinerary was OK. Cadiz is beautiful and well worth a visit. Toulon is also a lovely place to go and possibly better than Marseilles which was our original ...

Disappointed but not surprised

I was really looking forward to my first Med cruise in 3 years but I was very disappointed with this cruise. Britannia herself is clean and tidy enough but I really miss having a proper prom deck to walk around - for most of the cruise, exits to prom deck were closed off. I used The Retreat most days and while it was a bonus having a quiet, adult only area, it looked very tired - ripped beds, ...

Our first cruise but won't be our last

This was our long awaited Baltic Cruise, postponed from 2020. We were very apprehensive about going after the number of negative comments I had read online about how standards had fallen and how lack of staff was affecting the service. I need not hav worried. Embarkation was smooth and well run. Once on the ship we were greeted with smiles and welcomes by staff wherever we went. Our cabin was ...

Another brilliant cruise onboard Britannia

We had a fantastic holiday on onboard Britannia for a second time. The food was 95% great. The lobster and King prawns were a real treat. The entertainment was brilliant, especially the P&O performers and the staff are a real credit to P&O. The trips were well organised and despite the very hot weather we still had a great time visiting the different countries. I particularly enjoyed the art and ...

We are a recently retired couple who enjoy cruising and have cruised on many of the major cruise lines. We picked this one as it was just before the Summer peak period ( We didn't know it was half term in England ) and we were looking for a bit of sun and relaxation. First the pros. The ship is still beautiful despite being 7 years old. Our stateroom was kept immaculately clean . Our attendant ...
