Good, but little things could make it much better.
"Cuban comedian very good, British comedian just an awful dinosaur - zero rapport with the audience. The quality of the ingredients they use is obviously good, and the 4 gala nights, the food was very good indeed (same standard as Princess' regular dining)...."Read More

Transatlantic crossing.Birthday cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Britannia

Birthday cruise. Boarded coach from Manchester Airport to Southampton. Best to be said for coach station was disorganised chaos. Eventually board coach for a pleasant journey to Southampton. Embarkation was easy and efficient. Found cabin which was a nice sized balcony cabin. Was quite clean (seals around shower where dirty and mouldy but cabin steward cleaned these once pointed ...

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Britannia

Having cruised with other companies, and after reading reviews about P&O I booked a transatlantic cruise on Britannia. I paid £3,358 for a friend and I. Firstly let’s start with our cabin! Dust everywhere, a small table covered in ring marks, the bathroom stunk like a dirty old urinal, to the point I was sick due to the smell. We reported everything to reception, again, and again. When they ...

This was our first time cruising and it was amazing. Horizon buffet was excellent with lots of choice and we had a meal at the Glass House for our wedding anniversary and the food was beautiful. The Britannia is a beautiful ship and even though it holds over 3,000 guests it never felt overcrowded. The only queue that I saw was for the burgers and hotdogs at the Lido grill. And they were ...

Underwhelming

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Britannia

Just returned from the 14 day canary island cruise on Britannia. I am sorry to say it was the worst cruise I have ever been on culminating in four days of food poisoning. The ship is dirty and run down, there are stains on the carpets almost everywhere you look and the food in the Peninsula restaurant was bland, tasteless and repetitive. Our cabin was small and in common with the rest of the ship, ...

Britannia did not disappoint - Madeira, Lisbon & Lanzarote were superb

Thank you to P& O Britannia. We have wanted to visit the Canary islands and Madeira for a while. This cruise fulfilled our expectations. We have sailed to the Caribbean before on Britannia a few years ago and wondered if the standards had slipped, due to some of the negative reviews. You need not fear, our experience was delightful. I am amazed at how some people can moan so much when we were on ...

Poor dining and other niggles spoil a trip to wonderful Norwegian fjords

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Britannia

The greatest disappointment was the food which was universally poor and sometimes inedible. Even the specialist (££) restaurants did not have the highest standards. We had splashed out on a suite and expected a bit of pampering but other than priority boarding and a couple of cabin gifts we got nothing (£20 for drinks with the Officers? £20pp per day to use the private Retreat deck? £30pp for ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Britannia

We did the back to back to the Baltic followed by the trip to Norway. Overall we sailed 3 weeks and had a great time! We are Dutch and prefer PO above AIDA, MSC and Holland America Line. On boarding: Went very very fast, in 20 minutes we were already on board. As we arrived 4 hours later after the Norwegian cruise, a lot of people including us, all wanted to leave the same time with their ...

Went on Britannia for 14 nights from Southampton. Embarkation was very well organised and smooth,we had a balcony cabin with walk in shower.the food and service was excellent in the MDR but a bit chaotic in the self service buffet. The entertainment was good and so was the select restaurants.we did have a bit of a scare when we were hit by a mini hurricane and the ship broke loose from its ...

The Britannia is a really nice ship with nice things on board. We really enjoyed it on this cruise but there were a few things that could have been made better. The Buffet on this ship has two main buffet stations that are quite big but usually only one of them is used. the only problem with the buffet is the layout of the food. Ice cream next to pasta? Sausages next to salad?!?!?!?!?!? Because of ...

Rust in Peace Britannia 4th-18th August 2023 – Cruise B320 Experienced cruises across many lines, third cruise on Britannia The omens weren’t good when we discovered that Britannia was an hour late docking at Southampton. However, boarding was smooth and our luggage was waiting for as at our cabin, deck 10 midships, a grade HA balcony cabin. We sailed on time and at speed to outrun ...
