The food really was lovely although people moaned and they really shouldn’t have it was great, the cocktails were great too but they they changed with every order. Entertainment was dull but the magician was funny (the only entertainment for the whole week), although dont leave your phone on the bar, I got mine stollen... and can’t claim on my travel insurance because reception didn’t give me a ...
We are just back from one of the best cruises we have had on the beautiful Azura.
Fantastic from the moment we pulled up in the car portside and had our bags efficiently whisked away to and the smiling check in ladies and gents.
Our cabin was available immediately and our bags were there before we were, and it only took us 20 minutes to board!
Our cabin was immaculate, and bright and ...
Picked P&O as it sailed from Southampton and it was easier to get from London with family. But there is literally no comparison with Celebrity cruise. It’s essentially a 2* cruise ship.
Key issues:
1. Ship is dated
2. Buffet food is rubbish. Real poor quality
3. Speciality restaurant “Sindhu” is probably worse than your dodgy Indian takeaway. It serves packed naan and frozen paratha ...
Overall this was a lovely cruise. It was clean, calm and well organised. The embarkation process was smooth and easy . We visited beautiful places in the Norwegian fiords . If I had to criticise something it would be 3 things. 1. The drinks package . We paid £560 approx for a week of free drinks for 2 adults and 1 child . It does work well but they do fail to tell you everything and when we ...
We chose this as we'd done the Med to death and knew all the ports inside out but with a tight time window, we jumped onto this ship to see the fjords and try P&O.
Whenever we've gone out of Southampton before, it's been pretty slick getting on the Indie but this was from the Mayflower terminal. We turned up at the time we were told to arrive and, just as any doctors waiting room, we had to ...
We booked this cruise last minute as we have never been to Norway. We have two girls age 13 and 9 who were very excited as we have been cruising with Royal Caribbean in the past and they thoughly enjoyed the experience. This was not however the case P&O sell this ship as family friendly it is if you were brought up pre war when children were to be kept in nursery it or play rooms, They was ...
Travelled as a family to Norway for the first time. Also first time on Azura. We arrived earlier than our embarkation time and did not have to wait long in departures to get on the ship. We chose a balcony cabin on deck C because of the larger balcony and it was brilliant. We found the cabin big enough for a week with a teenager in tow, lots of storage. Our cabin steward was lovely and very ...
We decided on this cruise for the ports of call, and it was great choice. September can be dodgy with the sun/rain, but this was sunshine all the way, with temperatures around the mid 20's. This was our first time on Azura but we have been on the sister ship Ventura, but we did find Azura a more happy place - not sure why but it might have something to do with the Captain - a great bloke. Yes if ...
My wife is a seasoned cruiser, having been a top act on Cunard in the 1970s and 1980s.I've been cruising for about 14 years ,having tried quite a few of the cruise lines.
Our friends ( who came along with us) are also regular seasoned cruisers.
Although , of course, the four of us have different tastes in food, wine, entertainment etc we are agreed that the P&O Azura was the worst cruise ...
We chose this cruise for our 50th Anniversary, we've been on the Azura before & enjoyed ourselves.
Our cabin was lovely, food & entertainment fantastic,
The Entertainments Team lead by Benne worked so hard, so much energy.
The Sail Aways were exciting & got people into the swing of things.
Staff all very helpful & understanding.
Great choice of food in the Buffet, so much.
