We have just returned from a 12 day cruise on Azura to Canary Islands from Southampton and wish to share our experience of a first cruise with P and O, after having sailed with Princess each year since 2016. The contrast between the two companies is frankly alarming despite there being no difference in the prices we have paid, like for like. We have stayed on Lido deck forward on three occasions; ...

First time with p&o cruises we will never go again, boat just lacks finish, food wasn't very good very poor at some times, vegetables were always hard and not much choice in buffet areas, cheese and biscuits were terrible little pieces of so called cheese and no fruit at all.Sindhu restaurant was very good, glass house parfait was horrible. We spoke to various people during our two weeks and they ...

Our embarkation was carried out in no time and not difficult, but there was no one to show us to our room t, this being our first cruise. We eventually located our balcony room and were surprised how basic they were. One could touch the bathroom mirror and the far wall of the shower with both hands. The drains stank as the water “P” traps drained away. Suitcases came sometime after we were in the ...

Food poor. Wine waiters totally out of their league. Entertainment average. Prices extortionate. Insufficient seating in the main theatre and the 'concert' bars. Over 25% of people had to stand and this considering the average age must have 65+!!! Shocking Cabin with balcony was 'acceptable but only to thanks to the attention of our cabin Steward. We have cruised for over 25 years and this is by ...

I should start by saying something about P&Os pricing policy and the manner in which they attempt to (and often succeed) in encouraging passengers to book early with the lure of discounts. Do not be fooled in to booking early!! We have 2 youngish teenagers and therefore need to have adjacent rooms. As a consequence we booked on release of the cruise 18 months ago. We discovered a month before ...
