1-10 of 11 Southampton to Norwegian Fjords P&O Aurora Cruise Reviews
Cruise was wonderful, a relatively small ship so went right into port all days apart from one. We stopped at 7;different ports which was fantastic.
We liked the ship, staff were great, entertainment very good, food very good too.
Our only negative comments would be that there were no water points where you could fill up water bottles. You could order small bottles to your room but it was ...
We are seasoned travelers, but not cruisers. So consider this review with that in mind.
We found the August 2022 Norway cruise on P&O's Arcadia to be wonderful, especially given the still-difficult conditions cruise ships are facing. The Aurora is an easy ship to love-- big enough to have lots of activities and programming, but small enough that nothing was crowded or kept you waiting in line. ...
We wanted to see the Northern Lights but unfortunately the weather conditions in both Narvik and Alta (the most likely opportunities to see them we were told) did not oblige. Also our Fjord trip to see Pulpit Rock in Stavanger was also spoilt by low cloud and rain. You might think our holiday was ruined but in spite of the above disappointments we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The views of snow ...
This cruise was very good. My criticism would be of the Reception staff or lack of them, but they did deal with enquiries and a bathroom breakdown very well.
The service was very good and staff did anticipate needs very well. The entertainment was of a high standard and the food excellent with a good choice for all diets.
Shore excursions were well organised and very good guides but quite ...
I was one of 6 in a group that had a limited window of time when we could all go away. We have heard good things about cruising to Norway and so we decided on Aurora. This was the first P&O cruise that I had done so I was keen to see what it was like. As my title suggests we were generally very impressed with everything apart from a lot of mechanical noise when we were coming in to port for about ...
First impressions were of a beautiful ship with lots of wood, marble and chrome. This impression stayed with me throughout the cruise and made me think of how an elegant club would look. Service on board was excellent with the exception of a couple of members of staff who were probably suffering from home sickness or just didn't like cold but dry Norwegian weather.
The cabin was a ...
Ship Aurora
First time on board this ship. Very small.
Pluses more personal and intimate. Relaxing not hussel and bushel. Limited activities on board.
Food - I think P&O food is deteriorating in standards and variety. Still good value for money.
Accommodation - We took an inside cabin and was not disappointed. (Usually have balcony). The weather was cold so did not miss the ...
First off I should start by saying that I am one of those people who likes to travel alone. I enjoy the time to completely relax and do just what I want to do. So it was with a little trepidation that I set out on this, my very first cruise. I had a fear that I would be somewhat alienated from the vast majority of passengers who travel in groups. As it turned out my fears were misplaced. The ...
We went on the Norwegian Fjord cruise Bergan/Flamm/Gerainger and Stavenger. Overall the cruise was very good.
The service/facilities/food were all excellent. I spoke to the Restaurant manager who explained in great detail without prompting about their hygeine standards as the previous night we had gone for midnight snacks after dancing at around 0045 and noticed crew thoroughly cleansing the ...
Boarding the ship was straight forward with no problems at all. We chose the freedom dining option which suited us, eating mostly in the horizon restaurant. For the black tie nights we ate in the medina, both were quite good and always something to eat. The entertainment was quite poor apart from Roy Walker who was very funny and a band called Caravan that were exceptional. Most of the others were ...
