Very disappointed

Review for Arcadia to Panama Canal & Central America

We chose this cruise for my husband to experience the Panama Canal . Don’t expect to much of anything on this ship very poor in so many areas and ways P&O have really dropped their standards. Dated cabins with dirty stained sweaty pillows threaded quilt covers dirty shower curtain that wasn’t changed for the duration of our 24 day cruise, unhelpful rude reception staff ( females mainly) dirty ...

Enjoyed the cruise- but ship is a bit too big

Review for Sea Princess to Panama Canal & Central America

We had done the 2017 World Cruise on the Pacific Princess (OUTSTANDING) and felt that we wanted to see Iceland and Greenland that were not included on the cruise. Signed up for this segment of the 2018 world cruise to capture those ports. I must say, that I was spoiled by the small ship cruise on the Pacific Princess. The Sea Princess was just too big for my taste. So many people on board that ...

2018 World Cruise. Southhampton to Auckland.

This review covers the legs from Southhampton to Auckland, chosen for the opportunity to visit Iceland, Greenland and South American countries. First cruise with Princess Line. Embarkation very efficient, stateroom was as expected as had used interior rooms on previous cruises with another company. Food selections excellent across all dining options. Was selective with entertainment that I ...

Review for Queen Elizabeth to Panama Canal & Central America

We have previously travelled on many Celebrity ships and also Victoria and QM2. We loved Victoria and hated QM2; we liked Elizabeth as much as Victoria. They both compare plus/minus with Celebrity. I have to disagree with some of the last few reviews posted. The food was good, service was good, the shows were virtually all good, Speakers were mostly very good. The balcony cabin was very good. The ...

The ship was falling to pieces, and lifeboats not working

We booked this cruise for the advertised Panama Canal cruise. The ship had just returned from a refit. The cabinet drawers and wardrobe doors ‘danced’ in any rough seas. A large wooden plank, the full width of the cabin, it was the curtain pelmet, crashed down, had either of us been sitting in the single chair under it we would at the very least been seriously injured. There was one port where ...

Highly Satisfactory

Review for Black Watch to Panama Canal & Central America

This was our third cruise on Black Watch and we were a little concerned that standards had deteriorated, following a few mediocre reviews - not so. The standards of service and quality of food were outstanding. It is an old ship and a number of minor issues arose during the cruise, which were dealt with rapidly and professionally by Guest Services. It is a relatively small ship and the ...

Very Disappointing Cruise

If this was our first cruise we would have thought well it was OK but, we have had 3 cruises in total so we had something to compare this cruise with. The balcony cabin was the smallest we had been in and not a lot of room for a lengthy journey. The shore trips were too expensive and were not value for money. When the Captain gave messages over the public address system it was as if he was ...

Britannia just misses the mark

Review for Britannia to Panama Canal & Central America

Britannia is a lovely ship but lacks the Wow factor of similar sized ships such as Celebrity's Solstice class. We had a basic interior cabin on A deck, about which we were quite happy, as the design was fine, and our cabin steward was excellent. We had no problems at all with noise from above, as noted by another reviewer. We dined mainly in the Peninsula Restaurant where the food was ...

Ship in decline

Review for Arcadia to Panama Canal & Central America

The cruise was the first leg of the World Circumnavigation and offered a very good trip calling at Caribbean Islands, Panama Canal, Mexico and finishing in San Francisco. We have cruised on the Arcadia three times previous to this trip, and I would consider we are well qualified to comment on the appalling decline in most aspects of the ship and service. Firstly, our cabin D70 was filthy, (I just ...
