A beautiful new ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oceania Vista

My husband and I chose this cruise because of past experiences with Oceania. The Vista is wonderful but does not quite live up to the hype. We always book in the concierge level. The cabins are well planned with lots of storage. The bathroom is luxurious with a shower that is one of the best ever. The specialty restaurants are the best with the exception of the new Ember. It is loud and difficult ...

The VIsta is a great ship for us!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oceania Vista

We have travelled on Oceania once (or twice) before when we had a one week stretch with no kids with us, so we’ve had some experience with them. It’s funny how there are so many similarities between the lines we’ve traveled (more commonality I would say than ‘not’), so these comparisons are somewhat for my own memory when we are ready to book again. When we book a trip, the experience we ...

We chose this cruise as we enjoyed a Translantic 10 year ago, and wanted to see Ireland, Newfoundland, and Saint Pierre. The ship was beautiful. Food still as good as always (except was disappointed with Embers, wish they change it to Jaques), Service was excellent with the room stewards, however in the food venues it was slow responses. Ports of call were well received and tours were ...

A Lovely Ship But

Southampton to New York via France, Ireland plus the Canadian and American Atlantic Seaboard. This cruise went to many places we had not visited before. Unfortunately due to hurricane Lee we missed 3 of the ports of call. Vista is a big ship with about 1250 passengers and the accommodation was excellent. The restaurants also provided high quality cuisine except the Ember Restaurant which was a ...

Having just completed a cruise on Oceania’s new ship, Vista. I would like to share my observations about the Vista as compared to their sister ships, Marina and Riviera. Things that were eliminated: No Jacques (our favorite speciality restaurant), no Coffee Corner in Horizons (our favorite breakfast place), no Prime Rib in Polo (our favorite meal), no La Reserve, no Grand Bar, no Wine Bar, ...

Food did not live up to the marketing, ongoing argument during cruise regarding our account spoilt holiday

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Riviera

We chose the cruise due to the marketing around the quality of the food and the emphasis on service. Whilst the food was, in the main adequate to good, it was not the best cuisine. Also, I had the lobster in the Polo Grill and it was inedible ! We had prepaid excursions however, when we got on board, this was disputed by Reception, as was the fact that our package included gratuities. We had ...

Overpriced and Underwhelmed

My friend and I are very experienced cruisers, but this was a first time with Oceania (and it will be the last time)! We did 2 back-to-back cruises and yes, the decor is beautiful, but too many problems to make it worthwhile. In no particular order, some of the issues we encountered were: 1. Officers/management invisible except for Captain's cocktail party. 2. Too many 'supervisors' ...

Disappointing cruise - good itinerary but lacking in some aspects.....

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Sirena

Like many others we had a FCC to use to make up for the loss of our cruise in 2020. We choose this cruise as it was a round trip from Southampton for 10 nights. Normally we travel in July/August but other commitments meant we took this trip which had an interesting itinerary, some ports we had previously visited, others were new. We could not fault the cleanliness of the ship, our stateroom - ...

Just got back from a 10 day wonderful cruise to the west coasts of Spain and France on the Sirena. I haven’t seen a lot of recent reviews on the ship, so I hope this helps people with making an informed decision about sailing with Oceania and on the Sirena. About us…. We are in our 60s and 70s and are energetic, curious people who love to travel by land or sea. This was our second Oceania ...

Sirena cruise to Spain, Portugal and Bordeaux

Chose this cruise because my husband is of Spanish heritage. Disappointed with shore excursions with a number of them cancelled for OE tours. Tours were repetitive in Spain. One terrific tour in Portugal on 4x4 jeep. Best tour of trip. Did not go to two ports due to choppy seas. Cancelled tour to St Malo for Mt St Michelle which was highlight of cruise. Wine tasting tour was terrible at a Chateau. ...
