Disappointing Oceania experience

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Riviera

We choose to try Oceania after having done a number of Azamara cruises because we’d heard Oceania/Rivera was a little more upmarket, great food, better cruise experience despite Oceania being more expensive than the comparable Azamara for a midship upgraded cabin. It started well, boarding experience good, cabin shower/bathroom space a plus. Then to the cafe area - always overcrowded & made worse ...

This was our first and Last Oceania cruise. We chose this itinerary specifically for the port intensive itinerary and the excursions. It was two British isles cruises put together sailing from the 11-29 June2023. The cruise was sold out. I did verify that the first segment had 1,168 passengers and the second segment was oversold so they would only tell me that there were over 1250 passengers on ...

Chose this cruise because my husband is of Spanish heritage. Disappointed with shore excursions with a number of them cancelled for OE tours. Tours were repetitive in Spain. One terrific tour in Portugal on 4x4 jeep. Best tour of trip. Did not go to two ports due to choppy seas. Cancelled tour to St Malo for Mt St Michelle which was highlight of cruise. Wine tasting tour was terrible at a Chateau. ...

This was our second cruise on the Riviera. The food quality and service quality have fallen significantly over the past year. We went on our first Oceania cruise in 2014 on the sister ship, Marina, for a Baltic cruise. We could not believe how wonderful and attentive the staff was. The shore excursions were great and fairly priced. The food and drink service was outstanding. Last year we ...

This was our second Oceania cruise. We took one about three years ago on the Marina in the Mediterranean. While we enjoyed Oceania the first time, we were disappointed this time. One of the main things that was bothersome was the terrible internet service onboard. We experienced this last cruise, but thought that with time, they might improve it. Alas, they did not. Think of old school dial ...

Overrated Cruise

I chose this cruise for the itinerary. Cruising the North Sea was wonderful and those countries are wonderful. It was a busy cruise with only one sea day. The food which the Cruise Line constantly talks about was good but still cruise food. The ship was nice, newer, and well maintained. The cruise was boring. There was really nothing to do during off times. Drinks were ridiculously expensive. ...

We have been to London many times, but have not been around the British Isles very much. We read the reviews and looked at the brochures and felt we would have great time. The first issue was the WiFi, speed less than 1Mbps and often down, despite the recent "upgrades" A lot of people on the ship complained, but all we were give was excuses. The food was very good and decor nicely decorated. ...

As the saying goes, how many chances do you have to make a first impression? We have traveled on several cruise lines including Disney, Princess and some smaller ones. Oceania was the most non-caring in their treatment of the entire cruise experience. The one I enjoyed the least. Boarding was a bad start: 45 minute wait standing in a "snake line" to register. This, after an all night ...

Oceania Sinking

After many cruises with Oceania, this cruise was a large disappointment. To summarize: This cruise being 20 days with 8 days at sea plus another day with port arrival at 4 pm, we were assured by Oceania there would be a bridge director on board, with instruction and duplicate play. It turned out they did not deliver on a firm promise. There were 30 to 40 irate bridge players on the ship the first ...
