AJ’s Sloth and Monkey sanctuary. We booked this on our own in advance. Shore excursions to these places were longer and more costly. We got transportation and the animal experience for $35 pp. Lots of fun and guide was great.

I chose this cruise based on its wonderful itinerary. Excellent service at the Magnum Bar and very good dinners at Le Bistro. That being said, 1) I received flowers without a card 2) No acknowledgement of birthday 3) Repetitive, poor quality food in Garden Buffet 4) At the only dinner I ate in MDR, mushroom caps were cold, onion soup was tasteless, pappardelle with meat sauce was inedible(meat ...

Feel like you're at the county fair, go on a NCL cruise

We knew NCL reputation of a middle of the road cruise line. It surpassed my expectations. We only went on the cruise because of the itinerary, which was superb. But overall, the ship and cruise was not good. Service was wonderful, when you had it. The restaurants were understaffed. I waiter for many tables. Rarely did we see a wine steward. Never in over 2 weeks did we have dinner in less ...

A Cruise of Extremes

Traveling to the cold weather Shetland Islands and Iceland in the rough waters of the North Atlantic and then heading for the warm water to Miami was a wonderful experience of two extremes. A very fun cruise with an outstanding crew, very comfortable ship, and interesting ports of call. My second time on the Jade and we have another one planned next summer in the Mediterranean. The entertainment ...

One of the best cruise experiences we have ever had. As it was a long cruise we splurged and had an Aft Suite. Paying the extra was totally worth it. Having your own personal Concierge and Butler was awesome. Our Concierge (Carlos) was absolutely fantastic. He truly took care of everything from getting us shore excursions, dinner and show reservations, and the best part, priority embarkation and ...

This cruise had an excellent itinerary for a repositioning cruise and was a good length and price. Embarkation was easy and we were amongst the first on the ship. We sailed the Jade 3 months prior to Norway and many of the crew were still on the ship and many recognised us which is amazing. The Jade has been recently refurbished and looks good. Like many of these ncl ships movement around ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and price - which both were excellent. We loved the transatlantic and seeing places we had never been to before. Best itinerary ever and still cannot believe what a wonderful price it was. The embarkation and disembarkation was the best I have ever experienced. Kudo for that. Loved having the beverage package and the people serving the drinks were ...

This ship is for cruising

This ship is a good size for just cruising - sitting in the Spinnaker lounge and watching the world go buy. This ship is much easier to get around on and has everything you need. I really like the new set-up for the Garden Café. This ship is nice and traveled well even when we hit the 20+ foot waves in the North Atlantic. It was easy when we had to tender in Lerwick and the other ports handled it ...

Crossing the North Atlantic

I chose the cruise because of the interesting itinerary. The best part of the cruise was Dominique, who gave fascinating lectures before we arrived at each port. She was prepared, informative and her enthusiasm was infectious. The sea was rougher than I had hoped for but I think you have to be prepared for some roughness going across the North Atlantic. I was in a suite and did not feel as ...

This cruise was choosen for its itinary, especialy Iceland for 2 nights. Being in late september, we experienced all temperatures: sunny and warm in Southampton, cloudy and cold in the Shetlands, snowing and freezing then sunny and freezing in Reykjavick, then, it was mainly sunny and getting warmer for the rest of the cruise, ending with hot and sunny in Miami. But, the waters also changed from ...

Loved NCL Jade

We enjoyed London for a few days, our third visit to that great city. The decor and soft music on NCL Jade were the best we've experienced of the fleet. However, the singing in the atrium was usually simply awful, but we just didn't stay to listen so no problem. The Path of the Vikings itinerary was very interesting and exciting. When it included NYC, we were so pleased to visit museums ...
