Mildly disappointed

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

This was supposed to be really good value, including a full drinks package and all tips. Not sure that the price we paid was actually that good compared to others. Evening entertainment was very average - only three shows from the troupe in 12 nights. A Comedian and a Ventriloquist - the 70's called - they want their entertainment back. Darren Day really? The 3 tenors style show was ...

We were allocated a room on the 2nd deck, even when the engines had stopped there was a continental weiring all the time, made it very hard to sleep. Hardly any hot water for shower and several broken items in our stateroom. The whole ship needs a revamp. The service in all areas was bad. Would not use the line again at the moment they only seem interested in making money. The drinks were ...

Most expensive cruise for on board drinks etc.

The cruise itself was very enjoyable. The staff were great. The food not so great. A lot of the time the food was lukewarm and the vegetables almost raw. Not very nice. The prices of drinks in the bars/restaurants is extortionate. $40 to $70 dollars for a bottle of wine. A can of John Smiths $8. You could not afford to have many drinks on this cruise. The entertainment again was not as good ...

Disappointed in all the little things that are no longer available

In my experience, there are four things that make or break a cruise – the ports, the staff, the food and wine experience, and the ship itself. Ports = We rate the ports as 5 out of 5 for this Baltic Capitals cruise. Great cities to visit, every one. Staff = The staff gets a 5. They did their best to make us happy, especially our waiter and cabin steward. Food and Wine = Except for the ...

A beautiful cruise spoilt by uncharacteristically poor service

This was a great cruise, but a problematic second experience with Royal Caribbean. The ship is still beautiful but is undoubtedly starting to feel it's age. Some of the areas are looking tired especially the staterooms which have elements that have chipped surfaces and broken drawers. That being said most areas of the ship are in great condition considering the age of the ship. The ...

For my husbands birthday which RC never acknowledged loved the entertainment the cruise director and team all worked so hard The cabin was great but the condition on balcony was dirty and had splaters of paint everywhere had to be washed down with my sterile wipes. In general the curtains didn’t not fit let the light in think they had shrunk The condition of the ship was generally dirty ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

We chose this cruise line because of the EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE AND LENGTH OF CRUISE. I expected a more Royal experience, but found staff to be overworked and ship understaffed making staff very short in temprement. The 24 hour food experience is totally overated. Lacking in quality and variety. Beverages available are water coffee and iced tea during meals, forcing cruisers to buy the overpriced ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

This was a cruise from southhampton to USA. The embarkation was poor at southamption as to waiting times which was due to the way the queues are organised. The arrival at Boston took a minimum standing time of two hours to get off ship with queues stretching more than double the length of the ship to go through US customs; customs were quick; therefore the delays are ...

Let down by customer services

Crossing the Atlantic I can now say is ticked off my bucket list. The cruise, food and room attendant were excellent. The only let down was customer services department. Shortly after we set sail my personal wheelchair's front wheel packed it in (despite a preparatory service). It was sent to the ship's engineering department who after I inquired about the repairs was returned unfixed three ...

Have been on a few other different cruise lines. This was our first on Royal Caribbean. Our cabin steward was brilliant. He informed me that they, and a few other, direct customer facing employees are not paid at all by the cruise line. They rely on tips for their "wages". Ours was definitely worth his tips. Embarkation was very smooth - don't listen to those that say it wasn't. We bought ...
