First time cruising with MSC and we were left with mixed feelings. The ship could not really be faulted, being the first voyage from Southampton to Barcelona the ship and everything on board was brand new! Who could not get excited about being one of the first to sail a brand new ship? The smell of the new carpets and furniture and how everything shined and glimmered was just perfect and it was a pleasure to sail her. We booked this 14 day cruise to Canada, America and Iceland in 2018 and the price was fantastic.

This was my first and probably last MSC cruise.
It's a pity because the ship itself has some good points and the ports of call were fantastic.
We picked the ship up in Southampton along with what it turns out a lot of new crew who took a couple of days to come to terms with things.

First off, we were told we had a free upgrade. I tried to contact the travel agent to no avail. When we got onto the ship, I asked about the upgrade and had a sign literally pushed into my face which said there are no free cabins. We were told to board the ship at 5.15 pm. This was our first cruise with MSC. We chose this cruise because if the itinerary, especially Hamburg and Amsterdam.
