We travelled as a family two groups one group of Grandparents and son and daughter in law with a seven month old baby. We booked two mini suites which were really lovely, well furnished and really comfy beds with lovely duvets and pillows. We took our own travel cot for the baby because Princess did not guarantee that one would be available!!!! The weather was horrendous as we travelled with ...
Having enjoyed previous cruises with P&O and the itinerary suited our need to celebrate a birthday, we booked a cruise to Spain and Portugal. The ship is beautiful but the quality of the food and the service has declined over recent times. The daytime entertainment was poor with most events designed to 'sell' rather than entertain! No live music until mid afternoon yet the lounge was often full. ...
We took a mid section balcony on Deck 12 and apart from the really hard pillows, the cabin was well equipped but tight for space. There is a large selection of videos available on the tv, some repeated in the 3 small cinemas.
We have sailed at least 7 times previously with P & O, and this was our second time on Iona. This time we found the Main Dining Room staff to be mostly noticeably ...
We have cruised with p.o very many times and i have to say that we have always had a very enjoyable time, our last cruise was in 2019 we did have three cruises booked after covid but p.o but they were cancelled as we had never been away for a chrismas and new year cruise we transferred one of our outstanding booking to arcadia. Boarding was very quick and easy, after our loyalty lunch we went to ...
We have just returned from Cruise N336 which was the 2023 Christmas Cruise to the Canary Islands
with P&O Cruises aboard the MV Ventura where we had a Suite, one of the best rooms on the ship.
Unless things change however, has been our last cruise with P&O.
Prices are increasing at a rapid rate yet there are constantly cutting services, they are no longer value
for money or premium. ...
Had cruised on Ventura pre covid and 10 plus other cruises, reasonable standard not wow but ok . Now its standards have fallen so far, cost cutting to the bones ferry companies provide better. Cabin cleaned bed made if requested with card in lock once a day no turn down.,Bathroom no apparent cleaning as nothing ever moved mould in tiles grout coming out..Lack of vegetables on board asked for ...
I couldn't afford a Christmas cruise so opted for this one. Really wish I hadn't as so many things in the room went wrong all cruise and on the last night KPOP/Bollywood music blaring out on deck one which could be heard from the lifts by the atrium.
Cruise Director thought it was fine to have this music disturbing everyone because it was motivational! What a load of claptrap. He then lied ...
I chose to go on this cruise for many reasons.
Having sailed on Ventura several times the level of standards have dropped significantly. Entertainment wasn't too good with the exception of the Four Harps, Ben Kearsley and Morecambe and Wise tribute. The comedians were mediocre. The headliners same old with the exception of The Christmas show.
So many things have been taken away from ...
I chose this cruise as it was at the right price and offered a chance of some sun before the onset of winter.
Embarkation was very efficient and no delays from port arrival until boarding Ventura.
I requested Club dining on first sitting but was allocated freedom dining of which I dislike but I paid the Saver fare rather than Select so no complaints.
For me I always prefer to have the ...
Having cruised on Ventura twice, pre Covid, we thought we would sail on her again. We had read some comments on here from others stating that standards had slipped on all fronts. However, we kept an open mind.
We used the online check in and travelled down by coach. We were on the ship within twenty minutes of arriving at the terminal . Our luggage arrived outside our cabin promptly . ...
