Princess Grill versus standard Brittany's balcony

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Having spent 2 weeks on QE in November on a cruise to the canaries & maderia in a standard balcony cabin I thought it would be useful to some to compare experiences of a short trip to Amsterdam in princess grill in March. The first obvious difference is space. The princess Grill cabin was approx a third bigger overall, however contains a walk in dressing area with a spacious bathroom with a ...

A VERY ENJOYABLE CRUISE

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Have cruised many times but this was our first cruise on a Cunard ship. Arrived at Southampton docks - testing very quick - results very quick but car-park drop off area busy. Welcome greeting as we stepped onto the ship and given directions to our balcony cabin - very good and roomy. All meals good. We had breakfast in the Buffet which was a one way system with food served onto our plates ...

We have cruised with Cunard once before, this would be our first time on Queen Elizerbeth, and our first Christmas and New Year cruise. Because of Covid the ship was only half full and (vaccinated) adults only. It was fourteen nights in duration, and calling at Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Madeira and La Coruna. All these places we have visited many times before, this meant ...

Princess Grill on the 2021 Christmas Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

What made the trip so special was the friendliness of the crew and the absolute beauty of the interior. The entire ship is done in Art Deco. It is as if you are in a time capsule of the 1920's. There are gold, embossed doors on the elevators. There are beautiful panels on the walls and polished wood everywhere.A three story tapestry commemorating the ship in the Britannia Dining room and the ...

Back on board :-)

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We saw this cruise advertised by Imagine cruising who had chartered Queen Mary after covid restrictions forced her scheduled restart to be delayed. We were keen to sail again and the thought of some winter sun was enticing. Pre sailing the online form filling was tedious and the arrival of a new variant of covid and subsequent media noise created more of it and raised stress levels. On the ...

Amazing to be back!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

This was my first cruise since the Covid pandemic caused everything to be put on hold. Understandably, there were a few differences on board, which I have taken into consideration for this review. Embarkation Very smooth, even though there were no obvious signposts to find the covid testing drive through. The test was fairly quick, with minimal queues. Once through, we headed over to the ...

1st cruise after 600+ days of pause - excellent!

Review for a France Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We saw this 3 night cruise advertised at a very good price as it was the first cruise the ship was to make after 600+ days of ‘pause’. We realised that there could be problems but in fact they were very few. We booked cabin 10054. This was a Princess Grill grade cabin. We had previously crossed the Atlantic twice in a PG cabin - although it was 10 years ago. We were asked to check in at ...

Regent is BACK!

We have sailed with Regent many times and love their ships and their staff - the thought of returning to sail with them has kept us positive during the lockdowns of a global pandemic. However, like many other travelers we were also worried about venturing onto a ship again - we should not have been worried and I hope that others reading this will feel the same way. Yes you have to stay relaxed, ...

Stunning week away up to the Western Isles of Scotland & Liverpool

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Partly due to the sheer inability to cruise anywhere for SO long, due to you know what C19, and the fact that it was a Southampton and back trip so easy access for us Hampshire folk, made this Queen Elizabeth British cruise a worthwhile and easy trip to pick. We chose a Princess Grill suite having done a PG trip on QE around the Baltic back in June 2017 and found it close to the level we have ...

Sun Cruise; no stops just head for sun

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

I was apprehensive of going on this cruise and wondered what impact the Covid restrictions would have. I needn't have worried! We have had a fantastic cruise, start to finish. Covid testing and Embarcation was smooth and efficient. Differences from the norm were that there was no help yourself buffet, and mandatory mask wearing when moving around inside and whilst watching theatre ...
