Exciting Crossing

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We've crossed the Atlantic on the QM2 a bunch of times, but this time was memorable because of the rescue at sea of a yachtsman from a disabled craft. We watched from our balcony, and then learned from a Q & A session between the Captain and the rescued seaman. Very interesting. Otherwise, we keep coming back to the Queen Mary because of the beauty of the ship and our favorite experiences on ...

We love Cunard ships, we are now Diamond status so have sailed with them many times, we normally chose them over Princess or P&O as in our experience, their service is the best of them all. This time is was a short cruise which covered our 51st Wedding Anniversary, so we chose a Q4 Penthouse Butler Suite. Cannot understand why it is called a Penthouse, it was just a normal nice suite, not ...

My husband and I planned a trip to London and Paris and decided to take this 4 night cruise so we could visit Amsterdam as well. We flew into Heathrow on June 4th and took the transfer to the ship which was a nice Mercedes van that we shared with 2 others. Embarkation was a breeze and we were in our cabin by 1pm. Our balcony cabin was very nice and seemed more spacious than other cruise ships ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Food has improved a lot since our last cruise with Regent Seven Seas on the Seven Seas Mariner in April 2013, and was the best we've had on any cruise ship this time. The foie gras, grilled lobsters, grilled scallops, grilled shrimps, grilled fish and grilled pork chop in the Main Dining Room were all excellent and they could now be ordered every evening, which was really a great improvement from ...

Background information We have reviewed all our previous cruises which were on-board RSSC’s Mariner and Voyager in the Mediterranean but this time we wanted to try the new Explorer and enjoy the convenience of a Southampton round trip which meant our holiday could begin with a comfortable car journey. Ship information The Seven Seas Explorer has been in service for less than a year and is ...

Explorer was wonderful for our family - 11 day British Isles

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

My family of four was part of a bigger family group of 13. We had 6 suites on the 9th deck. Our ages ranged from 15 – 85 years old. This was the second Regent Cruise for most of us, the first being an Alaska Cruise on the Navigator. My first impressions getting on the ship… Going through the check in was very easy and relatively fast. We had traveled from London on a bus, so we only had ...

Didn't get to use the outdoor eating area or pool due to bad weather so kind of hard to really enjoy the ship. The staff was amazing. We did find the service in the dining room not as good as our last Oceania cruise. There were lots of empty tables but they put us in the corner with no view etc. Our waiter had a hard time understanding our dinner requests. We were a little uncomfortable. We ...

Itinerary was one we hadn't done before. Had a really good time on board and in the U.K. and Ireland. The ports were very interesting and the weather was really good for northern England and Scotland. The rough seas were almost un-noticable the night we had them. The ship was very comfortable through that night. The captain was among the best in keeping all well informed throughout the ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Silver Wind

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. The cruise went from good to excellent around day 6. The itinerary was fun and the host cities – especially Killybegs and Greenock welcomed us warmly even if the weather didn’t always cooperate. Most important, the many employees that together made the cruise a great experience are the single biggest reason for Silversea success. Enthusiastic and eager to make ...
