Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Arcadia

The cruise was chosen as my partner had been on the ship several times before. The fist statement I will make is the captain whilst he made the right decisions on the seaman ship of the boat a captain of a cruise linner should be more than that. Tne cruise was a 19 Day cruise in the Med. 1st 2 & 3rd day was spent in Southampton due to the weather Correct decision. But 2 ports were cancelled ...

Food repetitive in more ways than one. Real friendly cabin with towel sharing. Once they have you on board they don't want to let you off. Was not informed until the ship was under way that Nova virus is running rampant throughout ship even though we spent 3 days in Southampton because of bad weather. The Crew stud over you like we were children to make sure you wash your donnies and ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

I booked this cruise in haste after having to cancel a similar itinerary on a smaller ship. When I realised the size of Arvia, I tried to change to another P&O smaller ship, but it was too late. I feared the worst, and, boy, was I right! This ship is a disgrace - Embarkation, endless queues, but not as bad as I had feared, cabin OK, balcony at the front of the ship - But ...

Too many passengers and too few staff to make this a safe and enjoyable experience

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

The cruise was sold as a Europe Cruise but in fact we only visited Spain. The main issue must be with the P&O can simply not cope with the number of passengers on board. The reservation system introduced for many of the facilitates and amenities is call “virtual queuing” and simply means that P&O tell you when you can come and join an actual queue. The restaurants do in fact have adequate ...

Worst cruise ever

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

There was insufficient time in ports of call, and no overnight stays anywhere, so we could explore ashore further and not be rushed into returning to the ship for the sail time. We had to pay for buses from ship into the ports, and there were always long queues. The charges were exorbitant in our opinion for such short journeys. We cancelled a trip due to my disability, and were charged 10% ...

after several Iona cruises thought Arvia would be great. wrong. too many passengers, or not enough staff. entertainment had a couple of old favourites, with old acts, but generally poor. food worse than normal P&O. the MyHoliday app may suit P&O, but not guests. all the best restaurants and entertainment was fully booked by those who could make the app work prior to the cruise. the ...

The Worst Cruise We Have Been On

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arcadia

We have sailed with P&O several times on Arcadia and Azura and always enjoyed ourselves. There is usually a good speaker programme, quirky things to do and see (vegetable carving!), bring lessons and sessions on sea days and generally good food. We chose this cruise for the itinerary - going to places we hadn't been to before. It was obvious when we met our cabin steward that things had changed ...

MSC virtuosa 8 night cruise from Southampton -04/11/2022, balcony cabin no14288. I paid for a shore excursion(for me and my wife) to Mont St Michael(6/11/2022) from Cherborg cruise port. The excursion did not take place and an amount of Euro 165.24 was due to be refunded as I paid equivalent amount in ££s pre cruise. Out of this Euro 137.16 was allocated for on board expenses (and 2 Euros ...

We have sailed with Cunard since 2004 we have diamond passenger status, but this ship was a disaster, we paid £13,500 for a p1 grill room for a two week voyage , the cabin wasn’t as clean as it should be , the toilet bowl VERY obviously wasn’t clean, and my husband stupidly used the brush to clean it before I got a chance to call the steward, the tv system in the rooms is still worse than rubbish ...

We are diamond plus cruisers with RCCL. However, this cruise was a wake-up call after the Covid shut down RCCL have cut everything to the bone. The first night 2 untrained waiters served cold main course steak with fries, had a replacement Steak and fries but could not cut the Steak with the provided steak knife so this once again got returned, This happened 5 times on various occasions to me ...
