First time cruising with Oceania, having cruised with Azamara for last 5 years. The good- food in main restaurant is excellent but felt choice in buffet limited. Crew are very friendly but mismanaged. I felt there was an element of undermanning as often had to chase up on service. (walked out of one of the specialty restaurants as service was so poor). Very disappointed in lack of ...

Don't do this in the summer. We were hit with temperatures in the upper 90s and higher, with humidity around 100-percent much of the time. Other than that, and the chairs scraping noise from the grill above our stateroom (see cabin review below), this was a wonderful cruise. The ship is on the small side, only 684 passengers. I have cruised with Oceania before. The previous was last year on the Riviera, and I gave top marks for most areas that make cruise successful and worth the money. This time the whole cruise was poor. A small cabin, and a bathroom more or less unusable. The first bad sign was boarding at midday to find no table left in Horizons. Obviously the American passengers have special privileges. I cannot ...

Oceania Insignia—The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, and The So So

This is our 30th cruise on 23 different cruise lines. I am 71, my wife is 63 and we have been crusing since 1979. In our cruises and other vacations we have visited 103 countries. You could say we are well traveled. The format of this review is “The Good, the Bad, the Ugly and the So So.” I take the term “cruise critic” seriously so this is not a “puff piece.” The Good The layout and design of ...
