Dining at sunset on formal night. We dressed but many folks did not. We wished we didn't also (less clothes to pack!)

Don’t understand any of the previous reviews this ship and holiday was amazing

Just needed to write this review after our 2 week cruise on board the beautiful Indy - previously I had read a lot of reviews and was slightly nervous as some of them were pretty poor BUT after witnessing various people who were ‘complaining’ while on board I now understand that some people are just down right rude and picky and want to moan just for either show or attention with one gentleman ...

Passengers from Hell

This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean and never again if this sailing was anything to go by! A lot of passengers were very rude, foul mouthed, invariably drunk and looking for trouble. I believe there was quite a bit of trouble on the ship during this sailing and a number of passengers were thrown off at various ports throughout the two week cruise. There were a lot of large groups who ...

6th cruise with RCI, 2nd time on Independance and it will be the last. Standards have certainly slipped since the last time I sailed on her. Formal nights where guests are permitted into the Royal Dining room in track suit bottoms and polo top ( I kid you not) plus an array of shorts, T-shirts etc. A few of us nic-named her Benidorm of the Seas and it seemed to fit the bill as many other people on ...

This was our tenth cruise with Royal Caribbean and second time on Independence. It's a lovely ship with wonderful staff. We enjoyed our cruise but did feel it's going down the Butlins at sea route! The food in the windjammer (we always found a seat with no problem!)was very good but the main dining room food was definitely poorer than previous years. We ate in all the speciality dining ...

We have a varied cruising history choosing destinations rather than a particular company. However this cruise has on one hand fulfilled two really good destinations in Italy. At the same disappointing us on several levels. One as we have mentioned above witnessed quite a few people in shorts and uncollared t shirts in the main dining venues at night. This was unfair on the people who follow the ...

Slightly disappointing first cruise

This was our first cruise holiday so unable to give comparisons with other companies but will give what I regard as a fair review. The cabin overall was very good with Ricardo our attendant keeping it clean twice daily. The cabin with balcony was a good size for 2 people and comfortable. There were a couple of niggly points that prevented an excellent score but not really worth ...

First time on Indy and highly impressed. Embarkation was seamless as was all service once aboard. After the recent refurb, the ship was radiant and fun to explore. Was told cabins had not been refreshed but ours was as good as new, spacious, spotless and with a deep balcony. Had been a bit worried with some reviews...kids running round, drunken antics, overcrowded...but this was not the case ...

Worst Cruise Ever

I never do reviews but feel people need to be aware of this one. I have been on many cruises and decided to try Royal Caribbean for a change. Massive mistake. It was like a Ferry booze cruise to Calais. Too many people squeezed on. Food was generally cold and tasteless. Families fighting and three families were evicted off of the Ship. Staff trying to force drink on you and calling it ...

We chose this cruise as we travelled with our daughter son in law and two grandchildren. The improvements to the ship are good the splash zone fabulous but be warned it closes at 6pm which seems very early in the height of summer. We had a promenade room which was fine apart from the terrible nets curtains which made it look like terrible student accommodation when viewed from the promenade why ...

This was our 4th trip on the Indy and couldn't wait to take the older children and their partners with us aswe usually only take the younger children (11 and 13) When we read about the refurb we were super excited especially as there was even more to do for the younger children, however, until the week before we didn't realise public areas were sacrificed due to the addition of an extra 100 ...
