Embarkation at Southampton To be honest it was not a great start to the cruise we had to wait 90 minutes to embark on the ship. The reason was a coastguard safety check which we could see from the terminal. Although it was a pain to be kept waiting we were lucky as some people with later check ins were there for 3 hours! The cabin Although princess said it was a twin room and could not be ...

Sorry for the longish review but hopefully some info will help decisions of future cruisers onboard Grand Princess. We have just returned last weekend from our Western Med cruise. Our party consisted of 17 of us who travelled as a family for our son's wedding which took place on September 23rd .Ages ranged from our sons one year old baby to my wife's parents who are sprightly Octogenarians. 7 of ...

This was our third cruise with our family and having only been on P&O before there was some trepidation amongst us as to whether it would reach our expectations and hopes... Suffice to say it did, and then some! The food was fantastic and our waiters Kittipong and Peter in the 2nd sitting at Botticelli restaurant were brilliant. Marius the maitre d of our section was also exemplary. The food ...

Well, we've been back from our two week Western Mediterranean cruise on the Grand Princess (our second cruise aboard the Grand) for two weeks now. I haven't had time to sit down and write a review as yet, but Sue is at work and there is nothing else to occupy my time (for a change!) so, here we go! Embarkation: We arrived at the Mayflower Terminal at around 1220, having only travelled five ...

Pre-cruise We booked through Bolsover Cruise Club, the booking was handled by Craig very efficiently and we were pleased with the service. An unexpected bonus was that our P&O loyalty was acknowledged by Princess (it doesn't go the other way though) this put us straight into Platinum. However as my wife did the booking only she got the upgrade, a quick call to Princess fixed this, apparently ...

We started our cruise with a mini cruise on the Sunday night with Stena using the overnight ferry from Belfast to Birkenhead. After doing some family business in Liverpool we drove down Winchester and stayed in the Travelodge (booked in advance for 15). After a short drive into Southampton the car was taken away to its space and we joined the embarkation line. All went well and we were at our ...

We drove to Southampton and used http://www.candps.com/ for car parking and we'd definitely use them again. Simply drive up to the terminal and they valet park the car for you, it's quick, easy and not expensive. The car was parked opposite the ship for collection when we disembarked. First time on Princess. Check in was fine, boarding was quick and efficient, a good first impression. As the ...

This was our first cruise, chosen because of the Itinery and the fact that we sailed roundtrip from our local port Southampton. We come from the IOW. Check in smooth and quick, estimated time from arrival to getting on boat 30minutes. Cabin D210 (mini suite)was ready and spotlessly clean. However after reading advice on CC I cleaned all surfaces, handles, switches etc with anti bacterial wipes. ...
