Chose this cruise foe its for its travel itinery. ship far to big , only onboard awe factor is the main auditorium, spectcular light show and there it ends, MSC health and safety to passengers is lacking.
Major incident - Meraviglia Lounge at lunchtime, entertainment crew decided the days lunchtime entertainment would be kicking a football on the dance floor where guests were sitting , drinking ...
We booked this 14 day cruise to Canada, America and Iceland in 2018 and the price was fantastic.
The ship is beautiful - no expense spared with regard to decor and furnishings etc. BUT it's too big and cold (no atmosphere). There is a huge problem with embarking and disembarking - long queues. In Halifax (Canada) only one gangway served approximately 4,000 passengers and we had to wait ...
This was my first and probably last MSC cruise.
It's a pity because the ship itself has some good points and the ports of call were fantastic.
We picked the ship up in Southampton along with what it turns out a lot of new crew who took a couple of days to come to terms with things.
Staff were very polite and willing to assist if possible.
We had a balcony cabin which was kept spotless ...
This was the innagural cruise for the Harmony of the Seas from Southampton England to Barcelona Spain. We have been on the Oasis of the Seas so there was a familiarity with the ship.
The Harmony was nothing less than amazing all around. We had no issues whatsoever. Service was top notch all around. Our cabin steward was awesome as was our MDR waiter and beverage waitress.
We really loved the ...
I had wanted to try an Oasis class ship for some time and this was a perfect opportunity as it was departing from my local port.I would normally avoid brand new ships, until the teething problems are sorted out,but this was a one off as it is unlikely that Harmony will return to Southampton.
The boarding process was the fastest and easiest I have ever experienced,as soon as we got out of the ...
My wife and I have just returned from the maiden voyage of Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas from Southampton to Barcellona sailing 29th May 2016. As you can imagine, the ship is huge, but don't let that put you off. There is so much to do, even on a sea day, you run out of time before its time for diner. With all the neighbourhoods that are availible there is always something to do. A coffee ...
We were greeted at Southampton port by very friendly helpful staff and because we had already printed our sea passes they checked us in on their iPads. We were then free to board the ship we live in hythe near Southampton and we got a taxi to the terminal and from leaving home to getting to our room was 45 minutes very impressive. When we entered our room there were hats flags and pass holders ...
We were sold this as an inaugural cruise, it was not, in fact even the cruise director alluded to it as a test voyage or words to that effect, And it certainly was testing! areas closed down, not enough seating, at times it seemed like there were more contractors on board then passenger's, areas all around the ship still being worked on. Toilets on one deck had no fittings, no proper sanitary ...
First, the class of Ships we were not unknown, but there is much to discover new. Everyone who said that I already know, better was taught. Here the Oasis-class was Advanced models, I would describe it as Oasis-Plus.
Certainly the Department still needs more work per se, but it all worked. The Team grows. It was a wonderful trip with great weather, great for a Maiden Voyage.
The Cabin, the ...
Boarding was excellent. Great service, staff were amazing. Really great shows and entertainment. Lots to do for children. The only thing I would recommend is a ocean view balcony as not a really nice bar were you can sit and watch the sea go by. Most things on this ship are internal. The ship was kept very clean.
The cabins are really nice with lots of storage, the safe is small. American and ...
