This was a family get together and 3 nights was a good option for us. Embarkation experience was excellent but do advise on line check in beforehand. Lovely cabin, spacious, nice decor. Windjammer buffet cramped. Difficult to move around in so would not recommend. Dinners in Grande dining room normal cruise fare- nothing outstanding and food often not warm enough but Shadiek was wonderful ...
We have been wanting to go on Oasis of the Seas and hand to got round to it, so when The Harmony of the Seas released it was sailing from Southampton we couldn't wait to book it.
Prior to going we had booked the drinks packages for our family but was unable to book for our son who was 20 and Royal Caribbean usually make you sign a waver for people under 21, this proved very difficult as the ...
So we stayed on from the 1st cruise and still it's not the proper 'maiden' voyage.
Just under 300 people stayed on and we queued to swap Seapass cards over. We keep our Seapass cards as souvenirs but they never delivered our first cruise cards back to us as they did on Ovation last month.
There was nowhere to sit outside comfortably as workmen were frantically trying to get it finished. We ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to experience the worlds biggest ship. It was the biggest but it was the biggest mistake we had made. We ate at 6pm in the Grande and the staff could not find our table 2nights out of 3 . We did find the food very nice but no better than other cruises. The Aqua theatre was not open and that was one of the main things we wanted to see. Greece show was ...
We chose this 'taster' three day cruise to see what the new Harmony of the Seas was like. It was advertised as the largest cruise liner. We had been on Oasis of the Seas and did not expect there would be many differences (Except for a few inches in length) but we found the twisting tube runs fun, as something new.
The ship was really not ready to sail. There were workmen (mostly French) all ...
This ship will be fantastic when it is finished but this particular cruise was very poor.We expected a few finishing touches but floors being laid and attractions not finished ,cables and ladders all over the place .We spent four days with little or no hot water and up to an hour or two queuing to complain.(we gave up in the end)Food varied from very good to uneatable.
We loved the Rubicon ...
Here is my feedback to RCI. I think that it is a balanced review. I thought that other Cruisers may be interested.
The good bits:
Check-in – arriving at our chosen time, we were directed to a check-in agent, who scanned the Sea Passes, we answered the three questions, and we were on our way. Less than two minutes. Now that is a WOW!
Stateroom cards awaiting us, loaded up with what we had ...
Wanted to explore and investigate this new ship. Cruisers with over 30 cruises . Mainly cruise Celebrity.
We were prepared to be underwhelmed and we were preoared for there to be some snag type problems on board. In fact we were disappointed and upset at the degree of the unfinished state and the generally poor service on board. We sailed in the owners suite which was very nice but on deck 14 ...
Took the train to Southampton. Arrived around 1pm - it was very busy but lots of agents and was onboard within 5 minutes. Was annoyed to see the luggage people literally throw our cases onto the trolley! They were then left out in the pouring rain and delivered soaking wet. Not the best start but it got far worse.
This cruise was sold to us a maiden voyage and not as a pre-inaugural cruise ...
An awful experience. The ship was not ready to set sail. Construction workers were still on board and even worked during the night ( noise ). A lot of the advertised attractions were not open and pool playing areas roped off. Breakfast was served cold and when exchanged, was cold again.
Our TV was not even configured to work and was not resolved until the day before we disembarked. Paid for a ...
