Here is my feedback to RCI. I think that it is a balanced review. I thought that other Cruisers may be interested.
The good bits:
Check-in – arriving at our chosen time, we were directed to a check-in agent, who scanned the Sea Passes, we answered the three questions, and we were on our way. Less than two minutes. Now that is a WOW!
Stateroom cards awaiting us, loaded up with what we had ...
Wanted to explore and investigate this new ship. Cruisers with over 30 cruises . Mainly cruise Celebrity.
We were prepared to be underwhelmed and we were preoared for there to be some snag type problems on board. In fact we were disappointed and upset at the degree of the unfinished state and the generally poor service on board. We sailed in the owners suite which was very nice but on deck 14 ...
Extremely disappointed with this cruise. My husband and I were excited to be going on this brand new ship on its first cruise - being regular cruisers with Royal Caribbean we expected their usual high quality and standards. The on boarding was managed very quickly and within 15 minutes we were on board. This was the only organised part of the cruise.
We headed straight to the Windjammer for ...
Harmony of the Seas – 22-26/05/2016
I'm not able to attach here, but I have photographic evidence of raw chicken that was served in the Windjammer buffet on the Harmony of the Seas and video footage of the ongoing construction, which will be put on Twitter.
The cruise was sold to us as the ship’s maiden/debut/inaugural voyage, however when it became apparent that the ship would not be ready, ...
This was the first sailing of Harmony carrying fare paying passengers.
The ship was like a building site and no regard was paid to passenger safety. I saw a missing glass panel missing from deck 16. Yes the panel that prevents you falling overboard ! It was not fitted till 24 hours AFTER we set sail. There where trailing wires and ladders all over the open decks, no caution signs of any kind. ...
We went on this cruise expecting to see a great ship and fantastic things to do. The embarkation was really good very easy and didn't take long at all within 30 min we were on the ship this was the best bit.
We got onboard the ship and headed to the pool area as my son of 4 years wanted to swim. We walked pass the children splash area which was closed. We asked a member of staff why it was ...
Harmony of the seas. She is a beautiful ship yes there where areas still not complete or working. I did expect this as I've seen several show on tv about ships on there first sailing not being complete.
Embarkation best I've ever had from leaving my hotel at 10.30 walked on to the ship at 11am just 30 minutes including travel
First the aqua theatre wasn't ready but givin the weather in ...
Well where do I start.
Check in at Southampton was fantastic, quickest ever.
Once aboard we went to the Windjammer for a bite of lunch, well for a ship that holds over 6000 guests seemed much smaller than i thought, in fact it was a struggle to get a table. Food quality was not as good as on my last RCCL cruise.
Afterwards had a wander on the open decks, seemed all the Jacuzzis were ...
Yes, I was fully aware that there was work going on to put the final touches on Harmony of the Seas. No, that did not put a damper on my overall cruise experience for the four-night maiden/preview voyage to Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The embarkation process was the smoothest I've ever experienced. My family and I were onboard in about fifteen minutes! Once onboard, I was wowed by sheer scale and ...
I am giving a review more of the ship than the cruise. We had a four night cruise leaving Southampton to Rotterdam. We also knew this was a tester cruise and certain thing might not be working etc so we did travel knowing these things.
All in all I would say things where plenty good enough, the water show wasn't ready but apart from that nothing to moan about really as things like workmen being ...
