My wife and I had been want to tour Great Britain and Ireland but were limited on time. When we saw this cruise went around Great Britain with stops in Ireland and other unique locales we decided this was the trip. This was our third cruise and our second on Princess. Our cabin was adequate, although a little cozier than we had anticipated. Our cabin steward was outstanding. We were ...

Friendly Staff but missing the Princess Flair

Once again we chose to cruise on Princess Cruises due to previous amazing experiences. The itinerary was great, the staff super friendly but I must say that the food this cruise on the Emerald Princess sorely missed the mark on options, taste and food quality. Having been on previous Princess boats we had very much enjoyed the freshness, and flavour of the meals provided. This trip was a flop. ...

Unique Itinerary, Wonderful Service

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

We've sailed on over a dozen cruise lines, but never on Princess. The smaller the cruise ship, the better, from our point of view, and the prospect of being on a ship with over 3000 passengers gave us pause. Nevertheless, we chose this cruise on the Emerald Princess because of its distinctive itinerary (Guernsey; Cobh/Cork; Dublin; Belfast; Glasgow; Orkney; Invergordon; Edinburgh and LeHavre), ...

Good entertainment, appalling food

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Ventura

I'm not a great cruise expert, given this is my second cruise and had my first one about 20 years ago. We've chosen this cruise because we wanted to enjoy some summer time on sea and couldn't do a longer cruise to the Canary Islands. We were expecting a 5 star experience but overall it was a mixed bag. Embarkation was tedious but smooth: long queues at the terminal to leave the car and ...

This is only my opinion from being on this cruise compared to other cruise lines I have been on Positives - ship was easy to board very efficient no problems occurred . Staff as always there on hand so helpful and the long shifts they do they always have a smile and good morning/afternoon. Spotless ship can’t fault the cleanliness and the space we had in a balcony suite Negatives ( ...

Went everywhere I wanted to go . Especially the port that allowed us to visit Pompeii and Rome. Enjoyed the sea days in particular as we love to see the wildlife visible from the boat. Was disappointed that the Sky Lounge was closed on some occasions. Enjoyed the captains club get togethers. Was hoping for different shows but only had the same ones that we had previously seen in the last 2 ...

Acceptable but disappointing after many other cruise lines

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

We chose this cruise as friends had been on it Before and said how good it was. Having done many previous cruises with Royal Caribbean, Princess, P&O, Carnval and the first ever withThomson (Tui-now Marella), I was expecting exciting things: believing that Celebrity were the 5* cruise line (out of the Carnival owned ships). Currently onboard and whilst aspects of the cruise are good, there are ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Island Princess

Felt three day prior to embarkation witnessed lateral flow test total waste of time and money...test at embarkation far better. Happy Princess stated masks should be worn walking around ship, on tenders and on coach tours but disappointed not fully implemented... about 10 per cent not wearing masks anytime! Very good cabin D421, spacious and comfortable but beverage tray not standard as ...

Island Princess not ready to provide the premium experience seasoned cruisers are used too

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Island Princess

This review will be brief and too the point. This ship is old was not ready to provide the type of experience most seasoned Princess cruisers were used to. Yes there were obvious staff shortages and supply chain issues. These could be overlooked as the problem exists everywhere. However many of the staff were lacking in their training especially in the food service side. When you are served a ...

After a 2 year break for COVID, we finally joined Island Princess for a 14 night circular trip from Southampton. The Ports we visited were all familiar but we had arranged to meet friends in Inverness and Dover and cruising was an easy way to get there. We chose Island Princess based on our previous experience and because it was a smaller ship. Overall, there were no major issues but everything ...
