Review for a Africa Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

I’m onboard now and the service has declined dramatically! Lots of new staff with attitudes and 3 star service. Rooms are outdated and in desperate need of a renovation. Stains on carpets and drapes . Bathroom still has a musty curtain and room temperature can not be fixed as they were here twice . The staff questions everything. Order room service for breakfast no cutlery I call they say “are ...

Decent ship spoiled by various issues, and in particular cleanliness.

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Ventura

Well that is us ashore and making our way home from Ventura. We had an amazing holiday, met great people, and stunning port calls. Value for money was excellent but where do you start with Ventura? She is clearly a Marmite ship with many loyal followers which is good, however and for us we was not impressed at all. Cleanliness is well well below acceptable standards never mind what you expect ...

Excellent service and food, and world class shows. Entertained by Pam Ayres and educated by Lord Dannatt, or should that be the other way round? Special thanks to crew and staff, Roger, Chandra, Jane, Alex, Sid and many others. A great ocean liner - one of us gets sea sick on smaller ships but no problems on QM2. Enjoyed different venues each morning for coffee. Never actually went to the famous ...

We choosed this World cruise on Cunard for the itinerary and the ship It was a very special cruise because of the Corona virus. Everyone was disappointed by the cancellation of the ports. But we understood , it was more safe to not stop in Asia. It was the end of January and we can only thanks Cunard, to have taken this terrible decision so quick, we were one of the first ship to change ...

The Dream of A Lifetime Turned into a Disappointment of a Lifetime

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

What a disappointment. Destinations were changed at least three times and itineraries cancelled at the last minute due to the coronavirus. Independent travelers were treated like second class citizens and given NO ASSISTANCE whatsoever from the QM2's staff. Passengers were forced to pay thousands of dollars to change flights countless times. The ship offered NO help to those passengers who did ...

Travelling Solo

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

I chose this cruise because it was taking the route which I did with my family (husband and three daughters ) forty five years ago when we emigrated to Australia. A sentimental journey .I flew from Perth Australia, stayed two nights in London and then was driven to Southampton where I boarded the Queen Elizabeth. As a solo traveller this was done independently and paid for separately. This ...

Queen Elizabeth met all expectations

We chose this cruise for the unusual itinerary and the ship. We had been on the Queen Elizabeth for the entire maiden World Cruise in 2011 , and were curious to discover the changes that had taken place in the recent refit , and to see whether Cunards high standards were being maintained. We were not disappointed. We flew Avianca Business Class from Fort Lauderdale via Bogota to London and ...

We booked this cruise to facilitate our onward journey to Victoria falls hence the title. It was the poshest ferry we've ever been on. Embarking was a doodle, on board within 30 minutes. Lovely cabin (wheelchair adapted) very spacious and with a large balcony, our cabin steward was one of the best we've had nothing was too much trouble. Getting around the ship was much easier than the Queen Mary ...

Complacent Cunard

We chose this cruise as an opportunity to visit some places we’d never seen and get away from a grey British winter. Cunard has a problem. They seem to be massively popular with the over 75s but leave the ‘younger pensioner’ wondering whether they really care. The entertainment is poor, comedians that have struggled to leave 1973 behind, lectures about the lives of singers my Nan adored (and ...

ON the face of it not a lot seemed to have changed on the Queen Elizabeth since we last sailed on her seven years ago…and vowed never to do so again after the ship’s truly unforgettable inaugural voyage to the Caribbean. Roy Walker, star of the “Comedians” and “Catchphrase,” was still the biggest name performing in the Royal Court Theatre at night, a retired law enforcement officer was giving ...
