First and last cruise on MSC

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

First I’ll start with the positives, quick checkin, cabin was fine, the entertainment team put on some good shows. Bruges was lovely and well worth a visit. The bars are rammed everywhere you go, there is not enough waiting staff causing passengers to queue for between 15-30 minutes each time they wanted a drink. No enough seats, tables but cleared l, bar staff run off their feet. The drinks were ...

Awful

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

The ship is overcrowded and there didn’t seem to be enough staff, particularly in the eating and drinking areas. The bars were understaffed, tables were always dirty and full of old drinks and glasses. There were hardly any menus around and the carpets were full of crisps etc. There was almost no clearing up taking place unless I managed to find a staff member and asked them to do it. Finding a ...

Amazing experience!! This was our first time on a cruise, we choose 3 days to try for the first time and we had lots of fun. My kids enjoyed it too, just fantastic!! The cruise was beautiful and huge. We booked 2 balcony rooms. The rooms were very clean, bed was very comfy and clean, washroom very clean. We didn't get the connecting rooms so both rooms were on different floors, which was ...

Suite Disappointment

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arcadia

It was a special occasion so we decided to upgrade to a suite for a cost of over £1200 for three nights . Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment, the room itself was very nice but the bathroom was not as advertised, it stated and still does that it has a whirlpool bath, I’m afraid this is not the case as it’s just a standard bath in a bathroom designed for a disabled person with a shower in a ...

An Enjoyable Cruise on a smaller ship.

Our first cruise on Arcadia, the smallest ship we have been on so far. First impressions - the Atrium is quite compact not the wide sweeping staircase one sees on the newer ships, that said fine by me. As it was a very short cruise we opted for an inside cabin Deck 8 forward. Three wardrobes !! including shelf space, cabin clean and tidy, no wear and tear at all. The bathroom seemed slightly ...

A good experience but also bad at the same time.

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Cunard Queen Anne

The ship is great but slow service reduces the amount of stars given 2 hours for a meal, pool was dangerous (sharp edged metal drain cover at the bottom of the pavilion). The food was inconsistent, it wasn't self service so you had to wait for in a long line for a small portion. Don't get me wrong it most likely is a good ship but for a maiden voyage it surely was disappointing (you didn't even ...

A few maiden hiccups but she's a great ship

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Cunard Queen Anne

I had a great time on the maiden voyage of the Queen Anne. Sure, there were a few service hiccups but that is to be expected when you have a brand new team to bed in. I have no doubt that as the crew gel together service will be just as good as on the other Cunard Queens. The MDR was quite slow on the first few nights due to a temperamental IT system but the food was excellent when it did ...

Overcrowded with far too many kids in term time.

Okay this is a long one! Having been on 8 previous cruises starting in 2010 (Costa Deliziosa, Royal Caribbean - Anthem, Independence x 2, Navigator and Spectrum and P&O IONA x 2), my partner and I decided we would like to to try MSC, and the Virtuosa had an itinerary which fitted in with time off work for us both and places we hadn’t previously visited. This was kind of a ‘make it or break it’ ...

Overall great experience

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

Really enjoyed my time on the MSC Euribia. Exceptionally quick embarkation at Southampton, being on the ship and at my stateroom within 15 minutes! The solo inside room was of a great size, and definitely on the spacier side compared to other cruise lines. Entertainment - this is something that MSC has definitely worked on compared to previous years. There was lots of musical performances ...

Dont book and if you have cancel! Returned from our cruise 4th may. Really disappointed as this was our 1st cruise and was for my 60th birthday. Everything was absolutely awful. * first complaint, no kettle in room for 3 days. Told they were still at sea somewhere by the room cleaner. * special assistance forms we filled in prior to cruise as i am disabled and in a wheelchair but it was ...
