Review for Emerald Princess to Europe - British Isles & Western

We has this cruise canceled twice by Covid. I’m on board. Here are some notes from the Emerald Princess Baha deck on the British Isles Cruise June 14, 2022 Don’t bother ordering Jamison‘s scotch listed on the room service menu - they don’t have it on a trip to Scotland. And don’t ask for Raisin Bran or special K listed on the room service menu- not available. The announcements ...

Not a good start and very poor for vegans

Review for Iona to Europe - All

The food already is much poorer with worse options for vegans veggies and gluten free folk than the Britannia a few years ago. Portions smaller in the restaurant. Just feels like they are cutting back to catch up after covid. I hope it improves but noticing little things where they are cutting corners that makes me unlikely to book again on P and O unless I see this improving in other reviews. ...

Cabins - never again

Review for Iona to Europe - All

My friend wanted to cruise to Norway, having travelled on P&O for years we chose Iona. As this is the largest of P&O's ships I expected a spacey cabin but when I opened my cabin door I was shocked and really disappointed, it was so small. The two singles were by the window with just about enough room to squeeze out of bed by the window and there was no way to get out the other side. The ...

Very enjoyable cruise to Norwegian Fjords

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

We just retuned from a 7 day cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. We very much enjoyed our time on the beautiful new ship. The ship is enormous. It holds 5,000 people with about 3,000 onboard this time. Mostly it did not feel crowded. The ship is very stylish particularly between the 5 and 7th floor with crystal staircases and changing ceiling display along the main promenade. We had a drinks ...

Never again

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

After cruising with other companies and hearing so much about this one, we gave it a go.. Disappointed is not even the Word. It is not worth the money Rude staff, shouted on front of fellow passengers, never went beyond to please the passenger needs. Dirty linnen and stained. I spilled something and the stewardess flipped the duvet around so I cannot see it. My kids attended the ...

Review for Sky Princess to Baltic Sea

Having just disembarked from a Norwegian cruise on Sky Princess, need to share some points: Standard balcony cabins quite small compared to other lines (completed 32 cruises) so can compare. Shower curtain on a new ship seems to be a step back in time. Food all good apart from main dining room. Main dining reservation and organisation shambolic with non reserved guests walking in on one side ...

Standards dropped. Suitable for morbidly obese Butlins devotees who leave children to run riot. Find another company.

Review for Ventura to Europe - All

First cruise post pandemic after 20 years of cruising with P&O. Standards dropped considerably. Food in restaurants poor with menu choices cut. Self service cafeteria choices cut. Often food was cold, and for some reason you had to ask every day for marmalade at breakfast. Sometimes you were told there was non on board and had to insist on being given some. Booked glasshouse for family ...

Won't sail on this ship again

Review for Iona to Europe - All

We've been on a few P & O cruises and wanted to try Britannia when it first sailed. As Iona was another new one we also wanted to sail on it. But was quite disappointed. After boarding at Southampton we were led straight to the atrium but there was no wow factor about it. Not even any memorable photos whilst boarding. There wasn't even any sail away celebrations at any of the ports we left. I ...

First experience of cruising

Review for Sky Princess to Baltic Sea

Wanted to try out cruising for the first time so choose cruise from Southampton to Norwegian Fjords. Chose Princess Cruises as modern ship with medallion technology and going at the right time of year. Princess still have issues with the phone app - doesn’t always work and virtually impossible to upload any documents to it from an iPhone. The physical medallion works really well, access to ...

Poor air conditioning

Review for Iona to Europe - All

User Avatar

Went on 7 day cruise on Iona. Several locations within the ship had a muggy warm feel, did not feel like the air conditioning was working properly. All over the ship people were coughing and everybody called it the "dreaded a/c/ cough. After two days returning from the cruise 3 of our party of 4 tested positive for covid. This has put me off having another cruise. Not enough lifts ...
