We chose this cruise for the destinations more specifically Israel and Ephesus. I had incorrectly assumed that due to no sailings during co-vid and that the ship had been in for refurb that it would be refreshed. This sadly was not the case. Having just completed the P&O j219 cruise on Arcadia to the Greek islands with a stop at Malaga on the way out and Gib on the way back, I will give you the gen. Firstly we have only ever been with Cunard before this, so that is the benchmark I am working from, some facts..

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, which did not disappoint, especially both Petra in Aqaba and Herculaneum in Naples were amazing.

Service from most was acceptable but not from tours desk where we had a female total ignore us and then was not much help after that. Then to be ripped off for 111min on internet when it was clearly documented no use.... and to be told tuff luck.

We chose this cruise for the ports of call. Just before departure we were advised that we would spend 3 and a half days in Malaga to repair the ship Azipod which was damaged on a previous cruise. Booked a year early as a medical report put this to be probably my last cruise. Period.
First I received a few days in advance that one port would be eliminated due to repairs needed to be done in Malaga meaning an extra day annoyed!

Day 4 in Malaga due to engineering problem. This appears to have been kown about for some time - is its coincidence the remedial work was undertaken on a longer length cruise? I think not. On a 20 day cruise thats a lot of time. One post missed so far with warning of changed itinerary to come
