We found the embarquation painless and only had to wait a little while,however we were early in case of accidents etc on journey to Southampton. We went straight to our cabin and to our delight,particularly mine,our luggage was inside. We travelled on Queen Mary 2 from Southampton to Rio, via New York, Fort Lauderdale, Amber Cove, Barbados and Salvador, from January to February 2016. The ship then carried on with her World Cruise. When we boarded the QM2 in Southampton and there was no "Welcome aboard" not even a smile as the staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves and consequently ignoring passengers trying to find their way to their staterooms we realised that things had changed since we last sailed on this fine vessel.
