1-9 of 9 Cunard Queen Elizabeth Cruise Reviews for Family to the Caribbean from Southampton
Special birthday cruise with Cunard in the middle of May 2022 was the reason for this cruise plus it seemed good value as it was a re positioning journey finally ending in Alaska. We had a good ball cabin kept immaculate by our excellent steward and took dinner at 8.30 (a bit late for us).All meals were excellent as per usual.Vegetables are never cooked enough though making them too inedible for ...
We returned home yesterday from QE voyage Southampton to San Francisco and had a wonderful time aboard.
On arriving in Southampton at 12.15 as requested we were surprised by the number of passengers waiting for Covid testing. Obvious the stated time was not adhered to. However we were onboard and having lunch in the restaurant by 1.45pm.
We were in Grills and had a lovely suite, plenty of ...
Recently my wife and I took a 28-day cruise from Southampton to San Francisco. Covid-19 dogged the entire 9,615 nautical miles of the voyage.
Our troubles began even before we boarded Queen Elizabeth. Cunard demanded a certified negative antigen test dated no more than 24 hours before boarding. That meant finding a provider open on a Sunday – which we did eventually at a cost of £70. Not once ...
We chose this cruise because although we had sailed QM2 several times Transatlantic, we had never been on the QE. The dates fit our schedule—sail the QM2 over to Southampton, a week in England and sail the QE back Southampton to Fort Lauderdale. Our leg was the beginning of the QE’s longer leg, she will be sailing over a month, all the way to Alaska. My observations:
Embarkation in Southampton ...
we chose this cruise because even though we have done many shorter cruises on other cruise lines we were excited to cruise across the Atlantic ocean, down to the Caribbean, through the panama canal and home to Australia. Both our embarkation and disembarkation involved minimum waiting, and luggage collection went smoothly too. Our cabin 6068 was midships, had a lovely balcony, and was kept ...
Response from MerylP, Specialist, Public Relations at Cunard North America
Dear Kerrieb1,
We appreciate you taking the time for reviewing your experience on Queen Elizabeth. On behalf of Cunard, are delighted that you enjoyed the experience onboard. We take great...
Our cabin was allocated I would advice anyone that wants a lay in to avoid all cabins on any floor in this location as it had a metal strip on the floor in the corridor so every time room service went passed with breakfast everything rattled , it was also opposite the laundry shoot.
On the whole we enjoyed the ship, lots of activities which was good as we had 16 sailing days. Ship well laid ...
Can I say right from the outset that we had a terrific holiday. We had no complaints about anything to do with the ship or Cunard. Well apart from the toast that is. I take toast very seriously indeed and the anaemic, anorexic slices of roofing tile that masqeraded as that most delightful of breakfast accompaniaments were an absolute disgrace. One could almost have been on an American ship. (Pace, ...
My wife and I joined Cunard's Queen Elizabeth for her 'Maiden Festive Debut': a 22 night Caribbean. Check-in was relatively swift though there was a short wait of some thirty minutes, once through the check-in desks, while some final onboard procedures were cleared. As with most Cunard embarkations, Staterooms were ready at the time of embarkation.
Our accommodation, a P1 Princess Grill ...
We travelled on Queen Elizabeth's Festive Debut as virgin Cunarders, and we weren't disappointed.
We boarded swiftly and were greeted, by smiling crew, all offering to help as we were travelling with my mother and two small children.
The cabin size was fantastic, we had 3 cabins, my mother in one and the 2 cabins between my husband myself and the 2 children, unfortunately one of ...
