Review for Emerald Princess to Europe - British Isles & Western

We has this cruise canceled twice by Covid. I’m on board. Here are some notes from the Emerald Princess Baha deck on the British Isles Cruise June 14, 2022 Don’t bother ordering Jamison‘s scotch listed on the room service menu - they don’t have it on a trip to Scotland. And don’t ask for Raisin Bran or special K listed on the room service menu- not available. The announcements ...

Standards dropped. Suitable for morbidly obese Butlins devotees who leave children to run riot. Find another company.

Review for Ventura to Europe - All

First cruise post pandemic after 20 years of cruising with P&O. Standards dropped considerably. Food in restaurants poor with menu choices cut. Self service cafeteria choices cut. Often food was cold, and for some reason you had to ask every day for marmalade at breakfast. Sometimes you were told there was non on board and had to insist on being given some. Booked glasshouse for family ...

Very disappointing. Think carefully about booking until improvements are made.

Food bland and poor quality. We normally eat in the MDR as we see this as part of our holiday. However, food was average, fish dishes grey and watery and most dishes bulked out with rice and very few vegetables. Meats were generally tough. The café lacked quality and some items were served in small plastic cups i.e. 4 small pieces of fruit, 4 spoonful’s of yogurt or muesli per cup. I am not a ...

Great Itinerary!! Internet was awful.

The internet was awful. We need the internet to be able to log into our business, iMessage, and call over IP. The service was so poor that we weren't able to connect to our business and the messaging quit working after a few days. We sailed on this ship a few years ago and didn't have this problem. We've also been on many other ships on several cruise lines and not had this problem. The ...

A Brief Exposure to the British Isles

Review for Emerald Princess to Europe - British Isles & Western

We chose this cruise for the destinations. However, we barely had time to experience the larger ports. We missed Dublin entirely, because bad weather curtailed the tender operations. There were only a few hours in Edinburgh. It would be better to skip some of the smaller ports entirely (Saint Peter Port, and Kirkwall), and instead, spend two days in the larger destinations. There were many ...

Dining chaos

Currently on this cruise in cabin B322. Round Uk cruise. Let me start with the positives. The staff are great. Very helpful and friendly. And I personally like the outside deck layout. Our cabin is fine, not large but pretty standard. But unfortunately that's where the good news ends. The main complaint onboard is the dining, or more specifically the lack of dining. Good food is in ...

Shambolic dining experience

My wife and I are on the top loyalty level with Princess Cruises as we have sailed over 16 times with them. Never have we been so utterly disappointed. The dining experience is a disgrace. Prior to our cruise as Elite passengers we were supposed to be able to choose our restaurant and reserve dining times each night by using the MedallionClass app. This we did and we booked the DaVinci restaurant ...

We have been sailing with Princess for many, Many years. This was our 7th Princess Cruise. We have always wanted to go to the British Isles, and what better way to sail, than with Princess. We already have our next cruise booked with Princess, with a similar room this time to Alaska, as a cruise tour. This will be our second cruise to Alaska. Because we had a suite onboard we had club class ...

Anniversary Cruise

We chose this cruise to celebrate our wedding anniversary and visit Ireland and Scotland for the first time. Our anniversary was never recognized. We told our Cruise consultant and put it in the medallion app. Our dining experience was less than favorable. We dined in the main dining room the first two nights. Dinner took two and a half hours each time. We then decided to stop dining here after ...
