This was our 19th cruise having previously sailed with several lines including Celebrity, NCL and Disney. We have also sailed on P&O Ventura and Aurora, this time we were looking for a “replacement” holiday as we could no longer go to Disneyworld due to a back injury. I decided to book this cruise as a surprise for my father who was turning 70 years old on this cruise.

We returned home yesterday from QE voyage Southampton to San Francisco and had a wonderful time aboard.
On arriving in Southampton at 12.15 as requested we were surprised by the number of passengers waiting for Covid testing. Obvious the stated time was not adhered to. However we were onboard and having lunch in the restaurant by 1.45pm.

My shipmate and I booked this cruise after the MSC Seashore TA cruise was suddenly cancelled. In the end this was a godsend as the Sky Princess turned out to be absolutely the best possible voyage.
Boarding the ship was a breeze in Southampton - took half an hour to drop baggage, get Covid tested, and pick up Medallion.
