Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Britannia

This was our first time cruising and it was amazing. Horizon buffet was excellent with lots of choice and we had a meal at the Glass House for our wedding anniversary and the food was beautiful. The Britannia is a beautiful ship and even though it holds over 3,000 guests it never felt overcrowded. The only queue that I saw was for the burgers and hotdogs at the Lido grill. And they were ...

Britannia did not disappoint - Madeira, Lisbon & Lanzarote were superb

Thank you to P& O Britannia. We have wanted to visit the Canary islands and Madeira for a while. This cruise fulfilled our expectations. We have sailed to the Caribbean before on Britannia a few years ago and wondered if the standards had slipped, due to some of the negative reviews. You need not fear, our experience was delightful. I am amazed at how some people can moan so much when we were on ...

I have just completed a cruise on Britannia to Spain and Portugal. The cruise overall was fantastic and as such I have booked another on Britannia in June. A more detailed breakdown of the pros/cons are below; Itinerary - I enjoyed every port we visited, especially Lisbon. The ship docked in each city and no shuttle bus needed. Ship - The ship is large and was fully booked. However, it was ...

Simply a brilliant cruise from first to last

Review for a Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Britannia

Our first Mediterranean cruise in 4 years and it was superb. Here are the key points. The itinerary was brilliant. Loved every port, such beautiful cities visited: La Coruna, Valencia, Toulon (this replaced Marseille which I saw as an improvement...gorgeous beaches there), Barcelona, Alicante and Seville (from Cadiz). As it was in the summer holidays I was slightly concerned Britannia ...

Another brilliant cruise onboard Britannia

We had a fantastic holiday on onboard Britannia for a second time. The food was 95% great. The lobster and King prawns were a real treat. The entertainment was brilliant, especially the P&O performers and the staff are a real credit to P&O. The trips were well organised and despite the very hot weather we still had a great time visiting the different countries. I particularly enjoyed the art and ...

Second time on Britannia

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Britannia

After a lumpy Bay of Biscay crossing, the rest of the cruise was excellent. The ship was going into dry dock at the end of this cruise for a spruce up. We had sailed on Britannia before so we knew our way round the ship. The lifts are still a bit of a problem, mainly as at either end of the ship they are smaller and often full at busy times. Considering the wear she has had, I thought she ...

Lovely ship very spacious

Wanted a cruise in the Mediterranean in September. Cruised several times before but not on Britannia. Huge ship and that means it is very spacious. At no time did it feel crowded. Lots of space on deck. Lots of sunbeds. If you meet irritating people don't worry you will never see them again. Restaurants were busy. Lots of space to read. Enjoyed walking on deck. Nice pools. So smooth. Forgot ...

We had previously cruised on Oceana and loved it. We chose Britannia as we could only travel in August and we liked the ports of call in the med. We had a balcony cabin on deck 12 midship. The cabin was modern and equipped with all we needed. Our cabin steward was very polite although he didn’t clean as I thought he should have, eg he never hoovered once in 14 days. Food was excellent ...

Really good cruise

Having read reviews, we were a little apprehensive about this cruise (2 weeks around the Med) however it was without any major issues. Most of the comments I found to be untrue on this cruise....there was a great deal of food choice, there was plenty of it, the tables were cleared quickly and the food areas were all kept clean. We had upgraded to a superior deluxe balcony cabin and this was ...

3rd time on Britannia

We really like this vessel - no bling just calming, muted decor throughout. Balcony room D117 forward, clean and in good condition. Love having a proper-sized shower with fantastic water pressure, large TV with tremendous movie selection, plenty of tea & coffee, fridge if you need it. Superbly comfortable bed. Balcony a little on the small side but fine for 2. All public areas on the ship ...
