We chose this cruise because of the itinerary to the Mediterranean and possibility to do this in summer holiday period. We love to sail from Southampton because of its variety of destinations (last year we did cruise from Southampton to Iceland and Greenland with Princess) Embarkation same as the disembarkation went very smoothly no comments there. The fellow passengers were as you would ...

What a disappointing experience

We chose this cruise for the company - we thought P & O would be a fabulous experience, and the itinerary. The itinerary was great. Possibly one too many sea days and they could have squeezed in another port definitely. But overall the itinerary was OK. Cadiz is beautiful and well worth a visit. Toulon is also a lovely place to go and possibly better than Marseilles which was our original ...

Disappointed but not surprised

I was really looking forward to my first Med cruise in 3 years but I was very disappointed with this cruise. Britannia herself is clean and tidy enough but I really miss having a proper prom deck to walk around - for most of the cruise, exits to prom deck were closed off. I used The Retreat most days and while it was a bonus having a quiet, adult only area, it looked very tired - ripped beds, ...

Don't be fooled by the basic cruise price - There's much more to come once on board

We are a recently retired couple who enjoy cruising and have cruised on many of the major cruise lines. We picked this one as it was just before the Summer peak period ( We didn't know it was half term in England ) and we were looking for a bit of sun and relaxation. First the pros. The ship is still beautiful despite being 7 years old. Our stateroom was kept immaculately clean . Our attendant ...

We chose this cruise because it went from Southampton, we are not happy to fly at present. Embarkation was an absolute breeze. The ship looks fantastic a real gem. Every member of staff you meet smiles and goes out their way for you they really do emphasise customer service particularly Joseph in the atrium bar he was just omg far to good at looking after everyone. The layout of the ...

Everything average. Buffet very disappointing. Not much variety and could be hotter. More Like a works canteen. Staff always pleasant and cannot be faulted but P&O cannot hide the fact that they are trying to get back the financial loss due to COVID. Internet access £ 90 !! on some lines it is free. I don't know how they can justify that. Enjoyable cruise but P&O can't hide the fact ...

You can't blame Covid for everything.

Love this ship and have cruised on her pre Covid. Have also travelled twice on Iona post Covid. There are several things all these cruises have in common, the reasons given are the Covid effect, which no longer makes any sense. The staff are still wonderful, albeit none of them looked particularly happy, possibly due to many of them having been seconded from a previously cancelled cruise on ...

Having had to cancel our 40 th anniversary plans twice, my wife got us booked on Brittania again! We've sailed on her 2 yrs ago in the Caribbean. Overall impression back then good but to big for us! This cruise? Still to big but what a difference in quality ( read lack of) in no particular order! Entertainment pretty good overall but why did the sound have to so loud it distorted the music? ...

Your Flotel will be “slightly” delayed again, again and again.

This was our first cruise and sadly it didn’t start well with 6 hours delay on Embarking. This was described by P&O as a “slight” delay who offered a £20 onboard credit by way of a very limited compensation. Our room was not entirely clean with items left behind from the previous occupants and dirty marks on the pillowcase. Our steward did swap out the pillowcase when I asked him to do so and ...

Positives... arriving at Southampton it was easy to embark as we had already checked in online no waiting straight on board. Our cabin steward introduced herself (Rona) when we were able to get into our cabin, she was excellent very friendly & helpful. The cabin was clean and fairly spacious with plenty of room for our clothes. We had booked freedom dining and found it easy to get a ...
