The greatest disappointment was the food which was universally poor and sometimes inedible. Even the specialist (££) restaurants did not have the highest standards.
We had splashed out on a suite and expected a bit of pampering but other than priority boarding and a couple of cabin gifts we got nothing (£20 for drinks with the Officers? £20pp per day to use the private Retreat deck? £30pp for ...
If you want disgusting food, then this is your ship! The buffet food was shocking. The speciality restaurants only slighty better , even with the extra costs and if you could get a booking.
Entertainment was pretty.ok.
Balcony room was fine and cleaned every day.
I wouldnt go on this ship again.
Scenery in Norway stunning.
Staff helpful and generally friendly.
People who have ...
We chose this ship because the itinerary to Scandinavia sounded interesting and not an area we had been to before.
On arrival in Southampton there were horrendous queues outside the terminal and we took 2 hours to board the ship. This was not P & O's fault as there had been an accident in Southampton but why were we not allowed into the terminal so at least we had somewhere to sit. We have ...
We are experienced cruisers but this was our first P&O sailing. My sister uses a power chair and we were booked in to an accessible cabin.
We arrived at Southampton on an Intercruises coach from Wetherby - an easy experience and would recommend.
Boarding was fairly swift, but once on board we joined what could only be described as chaos. We went to our muster station, and then to our cabin. ...
I have never cruised with P&O before and I'm not certain I'd ever go back! The whole experience on board Britannia was shambolic from start to finish.
I decided to book this trip over Easter with my two elderly Parents (both in their 80's) and my family of 5, 4 adults and a 17 year old. Firstly I was unable to book cabins close together as the price to do this was more than triple the price we ...
Wanted value for money to cooler place in summer. Had read mixed reviews . wanted to find out for ourselves. Speaking to others, you love it or hate it. Marmite ship was someones description. Geared to under 50s = constant background carcophany of pop music apart from last 2 days when the food also seemed to improve slightly too.
Small balconies with swing doors requiring loungers to be in ...
First time on P& O but not first cruise ! To say it was disappointing is an understatement . Bland and cold food in the Buffet on a daily basis. Lack of organisation within the buffet area no flow around the area.
Constant sell, sell , sell from the minute you walk in the ship. Was offered a beverage package on six separate occasions within the first three hours also offered the sunlight ...
We had sailed on Britannia previously. The second cruise she ever made. That was our first time with P&O and we disliked it so much (as my review at the time will explain) that we said we would never cruise with them again. This cruise was a present to us though. So the choice was made for us and we gave the ship and line another chance. Again, nothing has changed and we won’t be returning to P&O ...
This is my 6th cruise and everyone has been great...except this one... Britannia Fjords

Just returned from 2 week cruise on Britannia. The holiday was not cheap but it felt like a cheap one. There seemed to be a cover charge for everything. The Buffet restaurant was like going into a cafe food very poor selection cold and sometimes still frozen and quality very poor. The juice machines turned off at lunch and dinner so had to pay for drinks. And the buffet Waiters informed me they ...
