Ok Cruise… not bad but could be better
"The weather was a bit chilly on this cruise so the outside seating areas weren’t being used hence why the buffet seating was full most of the time and it was a search to find a table. So for us, for what we paid, we enjoyed this cruise and felt it was a positive one...."Read More

We enjoyed our cruise on Britannia. The dining room food was decent but a little repetitive. The buffet however was dreadful, the worst I've had on a cruise ship. Beating MSC which I never thought would be possible. Everything tasted bland and ultra-processed. I mean you have Indian chefs, why are the curries not cooked fresh? I'm pretty sure they use tinned curries. Finding fruit and vegetables ...

So, right off the bat, I’m gonna say we judge cruises by the value we perceive i.e. for the money we paid. So for us, for what we paid, we enjoyed this cruise and felt it was a positive one. We needed a break and this fitted with the time we were available to travel. We booked late and got a great deal. If we’d paid full price, we might not have considered it in such a positive light. We’ve ...

Good trip with exception of bland food and off-duty staff

As it was our first cruise and we always wanted to visit the Fjords, we chose P&O as it gave us everything we required. Embarkation was straightforward and well organised and we were on the ship 30 minutes after arriving at Southampton. The ship looked fantastic and we were impressed by the cabin that was clean and well maintained. The buffet restaurant was a real disappointment. I read a ...

Norwegian fjords on Britannia in May, great weather overall. Ports and excursions great. Embarkation was smooth although delayed 2 hours. disembarkation was chaotic due to arriving late due to issues with Britannia and then coinciding with a Take That concert in Southampton. The area around the port was absolutely chaotic. We were due originally to be leaving ship at 09:45am and got off ...

We booked a family cruise, 4 adults and an 18 month old, we had two superior balcony cabins of which we could not fault. Our cabin man Romel was amazing, as was the lady that did my son’s cabin. The car drop off and embarkation was easy and very quick, the cases were outside our cabins when we reached them. Sadly getting around the ship was incredibly difficult with a buggy as the lifts were ...

We had a wonderful trip to Norway on the Britannia. The entire crew go out of their way to make sure the service is outstanding. However, the food was quite disappointing in the main dining areas. We had menu fatigue on day 2 and were forced to try the select dining where you pay more but you shouldn’t really be in this position. Another annoying feature is having to constantly fork out for ...

This was a surprise cruise for our Wedding Anniversary and wanted to celebrate in style on a 5 star Cruise ship and always wanted to enjoy the beautiful scenic views of the Norwegian Fjords. I chose The Britannia which is described as a 5 star Hotel as I wanted to enjoy the luxuries that you would expected of a 5 star Ship... including the food. We were informed that there had been a previous ...

Selected this cruise because we wanted to visit the Norwegian fjords, and this suited out schedule. In reviewing this cruise, I am comparing with a previous experience - Celebrity Solstice one week from Barcelona to Tunisia, Italy and France. Initially embarkation works quite well. We taxied from Southampton airport to terminal where our bags were whisked away from the taxi and delivered to ...
