Very enjoyable cruise to Norwegian Fjords

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

We just retuned from a 7 day cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. We very much enjoyed our time on the beautiful new ship. The ship is enormous. It holds 5,000 people with about 3,000 onboard this time. Mostly it did not feel crowded. The ship is very stylish particularly between the 5 and 7th floor with crystal staircases and changing ceiling display along the main promenade. We had a drinks ...

Never again

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

After cruising with other companies and hearing so much about this one, we gave it a go.. Disappointed is not even the Word. It is not worth the money Rude staff, shouted on front of fellow passengers, never went beyond to please the passenger needs. Dirty linnen and stained. I spilled something and the stewardess flipped the duvet around so I cannot see it. My kids attended the ...

Review for Sky Princess to Baltic Sea

Having just disembarked from a Norwegian cruise on Sky Princess, need to share some points: Standard balcony cabins quite small compared to other lines (completed 32 cruises) so can compare. Shower curtain on a new ship seems to be a step back in time. Food all good apart from main dining room. Main dining reservation and organisation shambolic with non reserved guests walking in on one side ...

First experience of cruising

Review for Sky Princess to Baltic Sea

Wanted to try out cruising for the first time so choose cruise from Southampton to Norwegian Fjords. Chose Princess Cruises as modern ship with medallion technology and going at the right time of year. Princess still have issues with the phone app - doesn’t always work and virtually impossible to upload any documents to it from an iPhone. The physical medallion works really well, access to ...

Great…. for the price

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

Nearly didn’t book this cruise due to the flurry of negative reviews but we’re glad we did. Quick summary… lovely new & modern ship. Is the food as good as Celebrity or NCL? No… but it was still decent and we always found something to eat. Was the service as slick as Celebrity/NCL? No… but the crew were all lovely if a little disorganised in the MDR. Was the entertainment as good as NCL or RCL? ...

Not at all the premium experience Celebrity are trying to sell

Review for Celebrity Silhouette to Baltic Sea

We chose this cruise to celebrate two milestone birthdays with our family, all of whom are experienced cruisers and were expecting Celebrity to sit in a sweet spot between some of the more mainstream cruise lines and the more expensive luxury sector of the market. It's clear from a branding and marketing point of view that Celebrity aspires to hold this position within the RCCL group and within ...

One of the best cruises I have taken

Review for Celebrity Silhouette to Baltic Sea

Things did not start well. Pre cruise customer service is terrible and pushed me to resenting Celebrity before I even stepped on board. This was my first cruise with Celebrity and at that point it was going to be my last, however my onboard experience certainly changed my mind. Embarkation at Southampton was a breeze and we were checked in and on board within half hour (if that). Walking ...

A great ship but some changes would make it even better

We were on the MSC Vistuosa in June 2021 and stayed in a Grand Suite, the suite was enormous. We had a lounge with a glass topped table and 6 high backed dining chairs, a walk in dressing room, separate bedroom with great cupboards and an enormous 20+ metre long balcony, with a private whirlpool. For our wedding anniversary in June 2022, we had booked to cruise on the Magnifica, in a similar ...

Great Fjords Cruise. Norway is stunning!!

Review for Anthem of the Seas to Baltic Sea

This is our second trip on Anthem and it was 100% better than our last as the vast majority of COVID regulations have been relaxed. Embarkation at Southampton was easy and our daughter was in the pool by 1.30 as we had had our first cocktail! It was UK half term so the ship was busy with lots of kids. No problem with drinks in any of the bars (waiters work very hard!!). Food was a ...

What a terrible shame

Ship and staff fantastic Food excellent Room excellent However - Not sure what "PLANK" runs customer services. I had the broadband, tips, drinks etc package x 2, although my partner doesn't drink and I only had a few wines each evening. That's an extra - Upgrade to Princess Plus for £40 per person per day and receive below Plus Beverage Package Wi-Fi ...
