Azura. Nobody is saying the crew are not pleasant

We chose this Azura cruise because we had been on the Azura twice previously and enjoyed almost everything about the experience.I will try to be fair and form an opinion on experience as a whole before choosing a score for the whole cruise. Of course the crew members were mostly charming and well mannered and they work hard. The captain was approachable and seemed excellent at his job. ...

This was not our first cruise with P.O. but definitely the worst, Cabin kept perfectly by Edward and were given all the attention needed. Entertainment mixed plenty to watch but the venues are stretched across the ship, and people wanting to watch more than one programme per night had to traverse nearly the length of the ship. The theatre was very well built for the viewing of the ...

Good cruise spoiled by bad taste comedian

Been on Azura before and did not fancy a long flight to USA / Caribbean so booked to sail from Southampton as its only a 4 hour drive. Since booking and trip they stopped you bringing alcohol on board at destination ports and put gratuities up by 15% (over 100% in the last 5 years). Getting on was a pain, having to wait over 1 hour, watching coach guests with blue cards bypass many others ...

Boring entertainment and whole family got sick

The entertainment on the ship was severely lacking. we were bored bored bored! Felt like we were trapped for a whole week with nothing to do. And on top of that there was some contamination in the food and my whole family got sick. We tried to tell the staff but they didn't care, just said "these things happen" and we couldn't even see the doctor as he was unavailable or something!! It really ...

My wife and I found the Azura absolutely spotless and we could not fault anything whatsoever! We felt like VIP's nothing was too much trouble for any of the very hard working staff! The entertainment was second to none and so was the food! There was always something to do on the ship! They even had an excellent gym to work off all the calories from the constant eating! We felt pampered and ...

Great cruise, spoilt only by the on board smoking policy

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Azura

Chose this cruise as it was a re-positioning trip and gave us a chance to re-visit the Caribbean. It was out first time on Azura and it was a great ship, but was marred by the smoking policy. Smokers were allowed on the Promenade deck, albeit in a small area, but if you were out walking or jogging, you had to run the gauntlet of smokers puffing away. Similarly, they were allowed to smoke on ...

Very disappointing

Chose the cruise because we wanted to go to some of the Caribbean island we had not previously visited and because we had had a relaxing cruise on Ventura last year. We knew early on that we obviously could not go to St Maarten. Storm Brian delayed us by a day and cutting long story short we had 3 days in the Caribbean - 2 of them on islands we know well. No time in Barbados. No concessions of any ...

We are experienced P&O cruisers and this is our 3rd time on Azura. No problems with embarkation or disembarkation from Ocean Terminal. Azura did not disappoint us. she is getting a little tired but levels of cleanliness and service were excellent. Just an observation - we were given an upgrade - yippee!!!! We were moved to a better grade sure, however, we were moved to Riviera Deck, ...

Bit of a let down...

This was my first P&O cruise chosen by the friend whose special birthday we were to celebrate. P&O were nice enough to upgrade the two of us and both the super deluxe and balcony cabins were a fair enough size but oh so beige and plastic. Quiet though and well positioned should we have had rough seas but one of the upsides of this cruise was the calmest of waters I have ever ...
