P & O starve passenger

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Azura

My wife had a specific diet entitled a "thick pureed diet" and we sent all relevant documentation before we booked and p & o customer services sent them direct to the azura who replied that this diet would be no problem so we booked. The first evening meal the soup was served with bits of leaves in it directly against directions in this diet and it then went from bad to worse! On two evenings ...

When we arrived at our cabin, there was blood on one of the pillows. Also, the ship did not appear to have been deep-cleaned. P&O do not seem to cater well for those with disabilities. It was difficult for my wife to get around the cleaning trolly using her walker. This was because the towels stuck out from the sides. When we docked at Tenerife, the gangway was far too steep for my ...

Dated Ship, very low quality food and generally downmarket

Picked P&O as it sailed from Southampton and it was easier to get from London with family. But there is literally no comparison with Celebrity cruise. It’s essentially a 2* cruise ship. Key issues: 1. Ship is dated 2. Buffet food is rubbish. Real poor quality 3. Speciality restaurant “Sindhu” is probably worse than your dodgy Indian takeaway. It serves packed naan and frozen paratha ...

Overall, I thought it a floating Butlins for geriatrics. That may sound a little harsh but I expected a lot more for the money. The entertainment was often suboptimal and the food somewhat bland. Portions were small but not a-la-carte; good job there was food to be had elsewhere on the ship afterwards. Of more concern, the ship ran out of the cheaper wines after week one, which was a concern ...

The entertainment on the ship was severely lacking. we were bored bored bored! Felt like we were trapped for a whole week with nothing to do. And on top of that there was some contamination in the food and my whole family got sick. We tried to tell the staff but they didn't care, just said "these things happen" and we couldn't even see the doctor as he was unavailable or something!! It really ...

We usually travel on Princess cruises but we booked this cruise as friends of ours were already booked on it. The embarkation went very smoothly which is the only good point of this ship. The fridge was stocked with bottled water and a few cans of Coke Cola which they charged £1.50 for the water this having paid £7000 for the suite. On most cruise ships there is a lot of complaining about one ...

Very disapionting.Ship sailed 2 days late due to technical problems.booked for a 14 day holiday ended up with 12 days. We sailed Sunday late afternoon with another 3 DAYS at sea before reaching Barcelona.Missing out Cadiz and Naples. We had a total of 7 DAYs at sea out of a 12day holiday. Not what we would have booked for. Food in the Buffet Restaurant looked very nice, however it would have ...
