I flew from Houston to London and arrived the day before the cruise. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Heathrow and would highly recommend it. This was my first time on P&O Cruises. It mainly caters to British cruisers and many of the passengers I met have only cruised P&O. Their website states that their Elegant Nights are very formal. Many of the men wore tuxes, but some wore a jacket ...

P+O quality suffering

Chose Arcadia for a number of reasons - been on before, adults only + Fjords for 1st time. Few positives but many negatives. Positives ... We were in a balcony on Sun Deck which, according to deck plan, had a solid wall going aft and nothing above us. Wrong! The wall had 2 fire exit doors which were latchable from the inside and Sun beds above us that were usually laid out @ 7:17am on a ...

O.K. so if you opt for a cruise to Northern Norway at the end of November you've got to expect that the weather might be problematic and it was! This was not a great cruise experience and unfortunately this was not entirely due to the various storms and gales that we sailed through. To warn future searchers for the Northern Lights you should research the itinerary carefully. Technically we were ...

Lovely Itinerary but Arcadia is now our least favourite P&O ship

Our 15th cruise with P&O and our first on Arcadia, which means that we have now been on all ships in the P&O fleet at least once, so can make direct comparisons between them all. We booked this cruise as we wanted to see the Fjords to Flaam and Olden, as our previous attempt (on Britannia) failed as P&O cancelled both ports a few months before (this has happened at least 6 times that I know of ...

Disappointed first time cruiser

Family holiday with my elderly disabled mother, the Norwegian scenery was breath taking and beautiful, easily accessible and stress free with the wheelchair, embarking and disembarkation. The staff were polite and friendly most of the time, however we had high expectations of the food that we were told by pervious cruisers was out of this world, but the food was of adisappointing standard, very ...

My wife and I took a 12 day cruise on Arcadia from Southampton to the Norwegian fjords in July 2017. It was our second P&O cruise. We have cruised with lots of other lines, most recently with Seabourn, Azamara and Fred Olsen. The itinerary, our main reason for choosing this cruise, was great. Overall we enjoyed the trip but we are unlikely to choose P&O again. The check-in process was very ...

Norway was stunning, but....

We loved the Norwegian fiords, the itinerary was excellent and excursions good. The fiords were undoubtedly the highlight of the trip, and are the memories we want to keep. The ship was ok, but not one to get excited about, and the cabin we had was awful (see cabin review) and the memory of that will take some time to fade. We enjoyed the theatre shows, especially the Headliners Killer Queen. ...

We have just returned from this cruise. The food was excellent in the Meridien restaurant. The fjords were spectactular. The shows were okay but nothing exceptional although the entertainment staff work hard and I have to say there was loads going on throughout the day. We had not booked our excursions prior to the tour. When we went to the Excursions Desk most of the tours were ...

Just back from cruise. Overall a good itinerary with the offer of a good menu, coupled with our choice of freedom dining Freedom was a bit of a joke, 1 day being told restaurant full, and had to wait a further 40 minutes before we were paged to get a table - just one that we shared, not a special requirement. Other days that we ate in the restaurant meant that mealtimes, start to finish averaged ...
