What has happened to Celebrity Cruise Line?

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Let me begin by saying this is our 5th cruise with Celebrity Cruise line and may be our last. The four previous experiences left us anxious to book our next cruise. This experience was very different. I am not sure if there are budget cuts that translate into unhappy crew members or what. We traveled with another couple and all decided to upgrade to Aqua Class. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed ...

Horrible Cabin Issues

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Vision of the Seas

This was only our second cruise. We cruised with RCCL on Mariner of the Seas and had a lovely experience (except for horrible buffet food). After this cruise on Vision of the Seas, I swore I'd never cruise again. Nonetheless, I have booked a cruise with HAL to Alaska in a few months and I hope to have a better experience. The dining room food and service was excellent. The little are near the ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Trans Atlantic Cruise 24th October - 7th November We set off from MAN at 07.20 and landed at LHR at 08.30. Our luggage was with us quickly and we were met and taken to the waiting bus. We left LHR by 09.15 and had an uneventful journey to Harwich, which took just 2hs. This had been the one aspect that I was nervous about, as I had been unable to find anyone reporting on this ...

Celebrity Infinity - no way 5 star

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

This was our worst cruise. It was promoted as a 5 Star Wine and Gastro Cruise but no one knew anything about wine and even less about food. The meals on the dining rooms and the buffet were awful. Menus read ok but the food was bland, boring, overcooked (especially the fish), with limited choice, same items everyday with no changes whatsoever on the buffet. To dine in the speciality restaurants ...

Poor experience!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

The name (theme) of the cruise "Wine Immersion" was the deciding factor for booking this trip. Unfortunately, it was very little about wine. Wine tastings were pathetic - cheap wines, badly organized events. Luckily we have booked (privately) tours in Saint-Emillion and Porto and were able to enjoy some good wines. The wine service at dinner time was incredibly bad! It was our first ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Well this was our first experience of a Celebrity cruise. We have cruised many times with Princess, RCL, Holland America, P&O (just once) and Scenic Tours. Up until now, our worst cruise was with P&O on the Oriana, but this comes a very close second. It was advertised a an Immersive Wine Cruise. That was of little interest to us, but we needed an accessible cabin with a twin next to it and this ...

A little underwhelmed for the cost

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We cruised the Mediterranean last year on the Ruby Princess and were very impressed by the quality of the ship. This year, we cruised to the Baltic area and Russia on Brilliance of the Seas, but, we were disappointed. The crew worked very hard and were extremely eager to please. However, the ship experience was below par from what we had experienced on the Ruby Princess. The food, especially what ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

Background: This was our 13th cruise in the last 3 years, but our first Baltic cruise. It followed a transatlantic crossing on the Celebrity Constellation, so we were constantly comparing the experiences on the two ships. And, frankly, the Constellation came off second best by a large margin. Travel to Port of Embarkation: We got off the Century in Amsterdam and spent a few days there. The ...
