We left on 10/4/10 from Dover, England on the Norwegian Sun as a 1st timer on this cruise line for a 12 day Trans Atlantic to Pt.Canaveral.

This was my second TransAtlantic, first being on the QE2 (with a return on the Concorde :) ) about 20 years ago. It is not my preferred sailing itinerary, but my husband really likes the sea days. We have been on NCL 3 times previously so we knew exactly what to expect. This ship exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful, especially our room stewards, Jonathan and Ferdinand. We lost several nights of sleep in our interior room because of loud banging and vibration. The sounds were similar to a sledgehammer on steel and happened during rough weather (and we had some). These loud bangs occurred up to 200 times per night depending on size of the waves. The sounds were also heard by several staff members although no solution was ever found.

This was our 4th cruise with NCL so our expectations of a Freestyle Cruise and an exciting itinery were very high.
