Seabourn goes the way of Holland American

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We have been Seabourn loyal cruisers for a number of seasons, but no more. We like the ship size and outstanding onboard personnel. However, the overall quality of service, food, little extras, and ability of crew members to respond to special needs has disappeared. The ships are the same, the outstanding crews are the same, the food is a little sub-par when compared to Oceana and the excursions ...

Great staff but suite was unsatisfactory and so was the food.

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Quest

Thought it would be the best cruise for us-upscale and all inclusive However, we told our travel agent that we needed a sound proof separation between the sleeping and sitting areas. He spoke to Seaborne and their person said the curtain was sound proof. He said that all he has ever been told is that these curtains are purposely made thick to keep the light and sound from coming in from the ...

Anniversary Cruise was a total disaster

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Star

We have cruised on NCL many times, as well as a number of other cruise lines. This has to rate as the worst cruising experience, ever. The only redeeming feature was that we met many friendly fellow cruisers from the US, UK and Germany. Some we hope to remain friends with in the future. The food was poor, in our opinion, and so heavily salted that my wife and I had to ask for no-salt meals. ...

Never Again

Review for a Greece Cruise on Costa Fascinosa

First Time Cruiser • Age 80s

We had the misfortune to sail on the Costa Riviera one Christmas several years ago and we said "never again", this time I mean never again. Not wholly the fault of Costa who now do not produce an English brochure. We were sold this on a coach tour/cruise idea which sounded excellent. 3400, Italians including 500+ children on a ship of this size does not make for a good holiday for 40 English ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

We had looked forward to this trip because we were waiting for Oceania to introduce a ship made to their own specs (not from the old Renaisance Line). We chose this particular cruise because of the Ports to be visited, although due to weather we missed two ports completely and were moved from Honfleur (a destination for some) to Le Havre. PLUSES This is a beautiful ship with a well-thought out ...

We booked early and later asked for an upgrade as we were in a an obscured view balcony midships. My wife got nowhere with the travel agent and finally contacted Cunard direct. We eventually after much persuasion got an unobscured view balcony at the bow. This was even though they were selling and upgrading others to better cabins. I should have known right from the beginning that this cruise ...

The Big Bang(s)

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Sun

User Avatar

First Time Cruiser • Age 80s

We lost several nights of sleep in our interior room because of loud banging and vibration. The sounds were similar to a sledgehammer on steel and happened during rough weather (and we had some). These loud bangs occurred up to 200 times per night depending on size of the waves. The sounds were also heard by several staff members although no solution was ever found. The buffet was miserable. ...

This was my first cruise with NCL. We chose it because of the amazing ports in which the ship called; Bergen and Alesund Norway, Shetland Island, Faroe Island, Iceland, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin. The ports did not disappoint! They were beautiful. Ship: The overall ship was in pretty decent condition considering this cruise was supposed to be a dry dock instead. Overall the ship was well ...

We have cruised before but though we would try a larger Ship.....choose NCL mistake.. We got the  feeling that there may have been a health problem, as we had our hands sprayed everytime we got on & off the ship also going into all the resturants also sprays were in all lifts, & staff alll wore disposable gloves.this lasted the whole of the cruise also salt & pepper were only put on the table 3 ...
