Lightning strikes twice

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Borealis

The happy wanderers

Last cruise with Fred we were given our first ever upgrade to a magnificent Premier suite, well would you believe it,it happened again, We stayed the night at the Crown Plaza adjacent to the cruise terminal and left the car there, embarking was fairly easy and our suite was as before sumptuous, First meal in the Aurora was a disaster, service was abominable, staff were running around like ...

What an amazing time we have had, brilliant people to meet places to see and entertainment. Food excellent ports of call a bit disappointing as big cities and not small villages. Excursions excellent although some were very expensive for what they were. Some health issues on board although we were both ok. If you follow the instructions and allow staff to do their jobs i.e. serving you at the ...

EMBARKATION went well although 2hrs late. Norovirus and covid on board from previous sailing and over the course of the cruise spread like wildfire. No one was told before getting on the ship so every ones health was put at risk which we found to our cost when come disembarkation at Liverpool my husband and I had contracted Covid. All the on board facilities were closed ie Gym, sauna, steam ...

Firstly apologies for the second part of this review however something needs to be said Ease of access to the port of Liverpool and Iceland was the major attraction for us We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and if Ambassador could make a few tweaks I would have rated it a 5. The cabin was of a good standard although smaller than these newer ships but that only to be expected on an older ...

Hit and Miss

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Ambition

We chose this cruise to Iceland & the Faroes, because it departed from Liverpool, and we liked the idea of cruising without flying. The hits: Embarkation was a breeze. Probably the fastest we have ever experienced. The entertainment teams, singing/dancing theatre team, plays & vignettes, and the classical duo (Alina & Marina) were excellent; high quality, well rehearsed and far more ...

After completing our latest cruise which would be No 18, I personally believe this one to be the Best to date. Second sailing out of Liverpool on Borealis and this itinerary for Norway and the North Cape and the Midnight Sun just shades previous sailing. Boarding at Liverpool very smoothly done, in quick time. Cabin efficiently maintained by Beth, good welcome with a smile. All Inclusive bar ...

Beautifully refurbished ship (Nov 22) far better then P & O in every way

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Borealis

6-10 Cruises • Age 60s

Not been on Fred Olsen for a while and chose this 14 day cruise to see the Northern Lights or should I say hope to see the Northern Lights! Embarkation was at the Liverpool Cruise Terminal, and it was a doddle, far better than Southampton. There had been some cases of gastro-enteritis on the previous cruise, so we were late boarding as the ship had a top to bottom clean before we could board. ...
