Excellent Service, Food Needs Improvement

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

This was our 45th cruise overall and our 3rd time on Seabourn. Seabourn is our favorite line because of the conviviality of our fellow passengers. We were traveling with family and all of us had a good time, relaxing, enjoying an excellent level of service, attentive but not fussy. It was an Atlantic crossing, but there were enough activities on board, including some very good enrichment ...

I chose because of the itinerary and wanted to try Seabourn cruise line. We have sailed multiple times around the Mediterranean with Silversea so I wanted to go outside of the Mediterranean. This cruise started in Lisbon to Canary Islands and to Morocco into Med to Motril Spain and ended in Lisbon. While anticipating our trip I read a lot of Seabourn reviews and was nervous about the trip ...

Disappointing

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Seabourn Encore

The crew was vey friendly.Fantastic CD and ass.CD. They had a lot of humor during team trivia. The food was very disappointing. We had a friendly waiter at dinner who was always willing to get one specific wine from the daily available ones. Once I choose excargots; they were frozen, so I asked a new portion. That was a little better but still too cold. I liked nice cabin. Room enough and in ...

Pretty good cruise but not up to the normal standard yet

In spite of all the conflicting information (you need a test before departure, you will be charged $100 if you turn up without one, you don’t need a test etc) from Seabourn pre cruise on their web site, direct emails and info via our TA we made it to Lisbon and to the ship. The Lisbon airport transfer to the ship was quite efficient in spite of panic setting in when our second bag didn’t ...

Almost perfect

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

Service is exceptionally excellent by all staff allways. Food is not up to expectations: very refined on the printed menus but too many different ingredients result sometimes in lack of genuine taste. Thomas Keller Grill is just o.k., nothing exceptionnal. For lunch at the Collonade, there is not much variety for the cold dishes and salads: allways the shame shrimps and salmon and ...

Service lacking

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We chose the Ovation for the itinerary. Leaving from Lisbon and on to Portomao, Huelva (Seville), Malaga (the Alhambra), Cartagena, Monte Carlo, Cinque Terra, Toulon (Provence), Mahon (Minorca) and disembarking in Barcelona. All in all, the itinerary lived up to its expectations, although we had to miss Portomao because of Tropical Storm Leslie so we remained in Lisbon for the second day. ...

The only thing that made my 57th cruise less than perfect was the poor gym.

I have often repositioned from Europe where I live, to the United States to visit my family...I must say that the Seabourn Odyssey ranked tops in almost every category. I have only paid to cruise a few times as I normally am at work bringing guests onto the ships, and cruising as the Tour Manager, not as the Cruise Director.... I have heard reviews about 45 minute long deliveries of Coke ...

DO NOT

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

My wife and I have sailed with Seabourn many times...almost always on the Odyssey. Until this cruise we were always happy and dedicated to the Seabourn family. That is no longer true. They have changed upper level management and could not care less if you were happy...only that you paid. Our stateroom was in need of new carpet, the food was poorly prepared and always over salted by a untrained ...

Relaxing

We wanted to try a trans-Atlantic cruise just because.... It was wonderful. We took a southerly route and in spite of the season (December!) we spent each day at the pool or walking about the ship, or just sitting out on our balcony reading. It took a little time to realize we could have what ever we wanted, when ever we wanted it! This kind of pampering is not normal. And it was all done ...
