Underwhelming experience

We've been sailing with Regent, predominantly, for 15 years, our most recent prior cruise being on the Navigator, through the Panama Canal, in spring, 2011 (and we loved it). We were really looking forward to this cruise and, for the second time, traveling on the Mariner didn't meet our expectations (the prior 2008 trip in Alaska was our least favorite). To start, they booked us in a 5 star hotel ...

Our Transatlantic cruise on the Mariner in 2012 (Monte Carlo to Rio) was such a great experience that we chose to do it again. This time it was Lisbon to Miami. The Mariner and her staff once again more than measured up to our expectations! Our pre-cruise hotel was the Corinthia in Lisbon, a very nice hotel. I booked this cruise early (about a year) because I wanted to be part of the Larry Cohen Bridge program which was limited to 62 ...

We cruised from Lisbon to Miami, supposedly via Madeira, The Canary Islands, Dakar, Cape Verde Islands, three Caribbean islands, and Puerto Rico to Miami. We missed Dakar (presumably due to Ebola although no-one ever said anything!), we missed Cape Verde as we had to return to the Canaries to offload sick/injured passengers, and we missed St Barts due to rough weather. The three places highest on ...

Our flight to Lisbon on TAP from Ft. Lauderdale to Lisbon was good with the exception of arriving about 5:30 a.m. Fortunately we had made our own hotel arrangements and they accomodated us and let us check in at a very early hour. Before I go any further I must say that I have given much thought to writing a negative review about Regent since we are gold members. We have been on many cruises on ...
